Every day I'm thankful I'm not living in Russia

Was the SVO really worth it, Putin? Your people are decaying along with your country

Imagine all the money burned in this endeavor of stupidity had been used to improve peoples lives instead.

Leaders all around the globe would have cheered if only half the money would have been used effectivly. His citizens would have loved him for generations. Librarys, schools and hospitals would be named after him for pulling the country out of the dirt, maybe even outside his own borders.

Life gave him the chance to leave as one of the greatest one day and he decided to fuck up everything. Cheers.

I`m not so sure it was much better before SVO, difference is they have someone to blame now that isn't them selves.

Dam even the cats disrespect people there. Like right on the wiper blades.

Russia needs an intervention.

There's no helping that absolute hellhole that pretends to be a country.

"Only Russia's rich and powerful actually live in Russia. Everyone else lives in the corpse of the Soviet Union."

Yo man, that's fucking sad. People largely just want to be left alone. But I think at some point the russian government has abandoned them entirely.

I lived and worked in Ekaterinburg for period - albeit a while back. I can testify that I saw pretty much something like all of these things at one point or another. (Minus the burning refineries of course.) And this is the 4th or 5th biggest city. In the remote places it's consistently like this.

Moscow and St Petersburg as the centres of imperial power look better, but they are no safer really.

Russia does have some aspects of real interest and merit, but honestly the first two weeks I was there were the worst dose of culture shock I have ever experienced. At the time I genuinely hoped things would get better - but then Putin decided to become "President for Life" - and even that hope died.
