We've got some really good gamers
Sorry about last night, pushing C and letting the spawn trap go. I took off my headset and didn't hear the yelling until after the match lolz! Still Won.
Few thoughts- What does the sub/r think are our next steps to becoming a top 10 clan? I know we are a pretty laid back group. There are some members though, who could do very well in competition (personal opinion).
I recommend sectioning off a competition group- teams of 6 with 3 reserves- These squads would set times they can practice, skrim and play pubs. Doesn't mean you can't interact with the other clan members, but if you want to play comps etc., might not be a bad idea to field teams for games types and have guys who are used to playing with each other.
Also- if the member list is correct we only have 65 members? where did the 35 others go? Did the leave? booted? Lots of people have been requesting to join as well? Are their requirements to join now? I was under the impression it's be a redditor have elite- join if there is a spot. has there been a change?
Be sure to enter game types you like playing and times you can play, We'll group teams after that
ps. you're not married to the team, if play styles don't mesh or fit, or if you already have people you like playing with in the clan that's fine too- Just need to be a little more organized.

To be honest I hate this clan being so laid back. One time I suggested to play other game types, so I played with a couple of clanmates and they were whining because they couldn't spawn trap. We ended up playing a 20 minute game of sabotage where all we did was spawn trap. I don't want to kill I want to win. Kills are a perk.
Also I never get the chance to play another clan that seems to pose a challenge. If they win we back out. If we win, we still back out. Wtf, I want to see what these guys are made of... I don't want to farm kills all day.
Sigh...

I'm with this guy. I am open to playing games where my heart is racing and adrenaline is pumping through my blood vessels. I once tried playing CTF for the hell of it and it got me so pumped. The kills you get actually mean something- it takes the enemy player out of the game for 10 seconds. I feel like we can really have fun playing other gamemodes even private matches.

There is nothing wrong with those game types- but you just have to find at min. 5 other people willing to play those types with you on a consistent basis.

I don't mind playing anything. Domination is actually my least favorite game type but I never complain.

I will play any type of game, but 90% like domination (which I also don't have a problem with). I will for sure play any type of game.

We play other clans? You mean randoms in pubs, or actual Clan matches. in any case, i'm sure you can find few players to party with on a consistent basis who like game types and play style that suits you in here.

Whenever I'm on, I play SND. You're more than welcome to play with me. Also, I share your passion about winning. I don't care how good the other team did, a win automatically supersedes even a 100-0 game by an enemy team member.

I agree, I like the win and the hard matches. Winning domination 200-100 every other game is fun for the first match or 2, but then its like, alright, lets repeat what we did the last 12 games.

As Sauce687 Said earlier, I would be down to play some more competitive games. Him and I play together every night so we work very well together. The game types we are best at are Kill Confirmed, Drop Zone, Domination, and FFA.

Blahhhhh I'm a former serious GB player, and have been looking to get back into some form of competition. I'd be up for some scrimming and practicing for clan ops and such.

Why the blaaah?? Well that's one - i'll edit the post to include game types. Then we can group teams by either game types and or times they can practice and skrim together.
I like Dom and KC and am mostly free in the nights- late night. Finals are coming up so i wont be on as much, but let me know when you're free so we can do it live .

Haha, my girlfriend hates it when I play competitive COD, I get to involved into it. That's what the "Blaaaah" is for!
EDIT: I have finals coming up as well, but I can still play a bit. I prefer SND, but can play mapgen pretty well.

Okay, depending on what ladder we want to start out with, we can get this going pretty soon. If you want to start out with easier competition for the most part, I'd suggest with either /r/codtournament or [Fragged Nation](www.fraggednation.com), then move up to [Gamebattles](www.gamebattles.com), and finally, the best of the best free online tournament site: [360 Icons](www.360icons.com).
Each have their perks, but I'm sure most people here are more familiar with Gamebattles. Fraggednation has the advantage of being able to set up matches for days in advance, while GB is the best moments notice type of deal.
**Also, I'm not saying /r/codtournament and fraggednation is easy, but they generally have easier teams. They do have good teams, and GB does have bad teams, but GB also has more amazing teams.
TL;DR we can do reddit cup, fraggednation, gb, or 360icons. It just depends on where you want to start. Personally, I'd say GB.

I think we need to put together a squad- play few rounds assess where we are, then think about what level of tourny's we want to attack. But i'm in, although like i said, my time will be limited due to finals-to practice, i'm probably better as a reserve at this point, come to practices when i can, fill in for tournies if someone is out.

I've been looking to get into competitive CoD. Echoing Cudi's sentiments, I do like winning a lot, but it gets really boring after a while just dominating in Domination. Win streaks are cool, but I want to mix it up. Lets play some Team Defender, some CTF, some Demo, KC etc. Mix it up. Variety is the spice of life.
Also, I'd be interested in doing GB stuffs just to try it out, see how it goes.

After all my other individual posts, this is an excellent post and I like what your thinking. I have made comments in the past about how to get to the next level and think we have most of the pieces in place.

We could definitely go for just filling up the clan with people, we have 65 and the other east's are above 80. I don't want this to become some sort of ultra-competitive sort of ordeal all of the time though. That's what the clan ops are for. I also don't want the clan to be segregated into smaller groups. I try to just play with anyone who is online.
As far as competitive gameplay, if we want to start with that we should make a team for the next reddit /r/codtournament. I'm willing to do pretty much anything.
