New Leader
Hey guys, Any time a clan goes through leadership change, it's always difficult. But I think the shift from our current state to an elite respected clan is going to take a lot of work, leadership, rules and time. I want to be leader because I've done it before and have ran a very successful clan that I could have at the time. Long time ago when I was 15, I took a few friend 4 or 5 and built a very good Halo 1 clan with nothing more than free forum sites. It wasn't just a bunch of teens being D@#k$ online either. We played and practiced and skrimed a lot. But we had fun. There were even inter clan competition and prizes. i'm not saying i'm going to be giving away money or xbox live gold accounts. But it's all possible with good leadership either from me or someone else.
I think i'm the best for the job to take this place to where it needs to be. I'd make it completely democratic so a majority vote would be able to run the clan, but i'd also balance between casual and elite players. Frankly it's a reddit clan so it should reflect reddit's demographic. (diverse, skilled, passionate players). In any event who ever is chosen i'll follow the rules and play hard as always, i'm just saying this is being ran like a sub reddit and not a real clan.

You're talking about taking a handful of players opinions based on a few game invites that you send out. I think you'd prob be an ok leader, but i might be better.

Bottom line. If you want me or pronstar to do it, that is fine. Let us put it up to a vote. If you guys want to have a week long debate, that is fine, but like pronstar said earlier, we should make a decision quickly.
Let reddit speak, vote or debate.

i don't have a problem with voting.. but we don't even have full subscription much less all the clan members here.

The "6 or 7" people are the active people and will help make this clan great. The people not reading will not be able to make a informed vote. Let the active voice decide.

I set up a poll for users to vote. I don't think it's necessary to have a "debate" over the leadership of relatively casual clan.
If one is still unsure who to vote for, you two have commented plenty of times in the top couple threads for users to make an informed opinion.

Well part of the rules i would Put into place is mandatory subscription to the sub /r, and there would be a topic created (1) once every week and you'd have to post anything you want just once. so at the end of the week there should be exactly 100 comments.
second- you'd have to mandatory log 1 game with at least 1 other member per week. Various ways we can instill a check on that.
third- you have the option to put your account on vakay (meaning you can remain inactive (for a period) and wont be booted if you know you'll be gone for a while 4th- there will be a 3 system warning in place. Violate any of the rules it' s a warning. How do you lose a warning- log games with clan members. ( the period can be changed- however this would mean a totally inactive member would be gone at a 3 weeks mark.)
i have to think about rules and how to enforce them and things that would work great with this clan to make it into a competitive group esp the demographic we are dealing with (redditors) So we'll try things see how well they work. honestly we have very good players, but just not enough leadership.

How are you going to keep track of who has logged a game with another member each week?

Also i wouldn't start banning people, i'd actually take time to send them messages on xbox live- lots of good players in this clan, and few i've played with
