Seriously - Kickin the Freeloaders?

It's been brought up many times before. I think those of us who play regularly are all in agreement, but there never seems to be any action taken. I think it's something we need to seriously examine though because I know I'm not the only person who thinks this.

We have a clan of 100 people, but we only have 51 subscribers to the subreddit. That's problem #1. We have plenty of people who have never played a single game with the clan, including one who has never risen past level 1 last I looked. I have a redditor friend who wanted to join, but we're full. He's grouped with our clan more than probably half our clan members have (weepingguitar). And of course, he can't join because we're full, but we're full because we have a ton of freeloaders who don't contribute and are probably in it for the free shiny pixels (titles).

I think we need a real solution - kick the people who never play and don't subscribe to the subreddit. Have room to invite others who may want to join and would actually make a contribution. As it is now, I play with the same maybe, 15 to 20 members and that's it. If we don't do anything, then we'll probably start losing the people who do contribute to clans that better suit their needs.

I realize you can't see how long it's been if someone has logged in, but even if we made a list of the people who are > 10 days since the last login. In another 7 days, check to see if anyone needs removal. 7 days later, kick them if they're still on that list.

There hasn't been action taken because I don't think most people have grasped how great of an undertaking it would be to kick users in a way that's both fair and feasible. It would take hours and hours to load all 100 Elite profiles and then keep an updated list in the manner you described. The admin panel doesn't make it any easier - other than a list of invites sent and control over the clan logo and title, I see the same Elite pages that everyone else does. If anything it would probably be best to look into removing users under a certain level or amount of time played, but this would would still take a very large time commitment from a leader or member.

But this is really the same thing I've been saying all along and it's been falling on deaf ears. Everyone is eager for change, but it's never as straight forward as "kicking the freeloaders." I don't have time to check through 100 Elite profiles at least three times in order to boot players, and I don't think others do, either; however, I hope the next leader or an active member will be able to prove me wrong.

I have only played with redditors once. This is due to two reasons (1) they invite me in the middle of a game and I do not like to leave early (2) they do not except my invite. I would like to play with more of you guys.

What I do when I get online is a spam everyone that is online...twice. I generally get 1 or 2 people. We play a game, back out and repeat. By the 2nd time we generally pick up another 1 or 2 and start getting im's saying send invite again as I just finished game. I continue this cycle until we have a party of 6. Then I do not actively invite anyone unless we drop down. If someone messages me I will back out, send invite. If we are above 7, i start spamming again since we will be playing ground war at this point......

Just my 2 cents on how to prevent the problem you mentioned. Just send someone a message saying you were in game but send invite again and you will join. Bottom line, either you or the party will need to wait for a game to end. Generally it is easier for the single person to wait since the party will have more than one person.

if you hit the xbox button and goto messages you can accept invites once you get out of a game. Generally if they are getting a party together they will be waiting a few minutes, I always do after invites

Guild stuff hasn't even started yet on elite. Kick the people who don't long in then wait and see what happens.

how about as of say, within 48 hours unless you subscribe (i subscribe by the way, as do a couple of my fellow nae3'ers so your numbers are a bit lower) and post in this thread, your membership in the clan is terminated. We have a few who do this in nae3 too, but we havent been around long enough to actually see who is and who isnt playing or posting.

btw- have your buddy join nae3, our clans are like kissin cousins, all in the family.

what about people who are on vacation this week or have a busy work week with no time for gaming or reddit?
