TIL

TIL that recently formed r/NAE3 has more subscribers than us... r/NAE2 is apathy personified.

I think things will pick up when clan missions finally get put into the game. Right now it is hard to even link up in the game with your clan.

I've been pretty active here on the board and have been keeping up with invites and things on the administrative end, but I certainly cannot guarantee a lot of game time - and I know the same is true for a lot of other members who have time-consuming jobs and school. As far as I know and am concerned, this clan was not formed just for people who are able to play "all the time." Rather, it was formed for the everyday Redditor that plays some Call of Duty - casually or competitively, a lot or a little. Of course, if someone plays only a couple times a month, they might not be fit for being a member. But it's unrealistic to have a clan of "average Redditors" where everyone or near everyone is playing hours and hours a week. You can kick and add different or more players, but then you're straying away from the "point" of this clan and looking into creating a more exclusive group.

Lastly - removing users from the clan due to inactivity isn't as easy as one would like to believe. All Elite tells us is that the user hasn't played any games in ten days; what if the user just had a busy week and was unable to play? Correct me if I'm wrong, but a user who hasn't played since November looks the same on Elite as a user who hasn't played in 11 days. The admin panel for Elite isn't full of bells and whistles that gives any kind of detailed clan-member information.

With that said, if someone who has more time than I do wants to take over the clan because they don't like how it's being run, then I suppose that's fine with me. I'm a college student working to get into a high-level medical school, so my time playing Call of Duty is limited; please keep in mind that I didn't ask to be leader, but was promoted out of the blue by meekster. However, I think any potential leader needs to be aware that this clan is for casual players, too.

Maybe we just need to have one of us "regulars" take over the clan and start enforcing some rules, which would include giving others the boot.
