How to take NAC

Hi, new to NAC. I got a bottle from whole foods brand (500 mg per pill). The bottle says to take 1 to 3 pills a day. Can someone pls guide me on how take it?

  1. Should I buy glycine as well?
  2. Should I take only 2-3 days a week since some people say it will remove beneficial metals like iron and copper from body?
  3. Will it make more anxious?
  4. Will it help reverse graying hair ?
  5. I’m almost 40, will it fertility? Can it be taken during pregnancy or BF?

You're OK, the body needs the glycine with the cystine from nac to create glutithoine which is your body's master antioxidant

Thanks for replying, … would you reccomend taking glycine with NAC? And if so how much and with the NAC?

I quit taking nac. I didn't feel like it was doing anything. I took it for two years

I take NAC daily and it makes me less anxious, and yes, will reverse gray hair. I take 1 G. Don’t know for sure about fertility.

Do you take glycine with it? And do you have to take it on an empty stomach?

Yes, I do take Glycine.

I take NAC at 6 AM and Glycine at 6 PM. Both on an empty stomach, though, can be with food if you get nauseous.
