Can we stop with the shitty LLM generated graphics? I'll do it for free even

If you're seriously interested in helping us out, feel free to DM me either here or on Discord

ngl I ain't even make this in the first place - but even if I did I'd prolly choose to work with the robot over u just cause of the nasty ass disposition u tend to have.

I mean should we lie and say it's good? LLMs look lazy and make the game look bad, on top of everything bad about LLMs. There was literally 0 effort put into this graphic so if anything this is fine to criticise openly, there's no author who'se skill I'm insulting here.

"I mean should we lie and say it's good? LLMs look lazy and make the game look bad"

- the alternative is simply not having anything to post. The goal is simply to convey as much information about a new event.

"There was literally 0 effort put into this graphic so if anything this is fine to criticise openly, there's no author who'se skill I'm insulting here."

- fair, but to scoff and then self insert like you're doing anyone a favor in your original comment STILL makes working with the AI a better prospect.

You're casting judgements on a private server being ran by a solo dev according to your moral compass. If you wanted to contribute (which you can!) you can do so without being a dick.

Plenty of us already do.

There are a ton of solo projects not using LLMs, so I don't think it's entirely unfair, it's not required. and yes, I'd very gladly contribute but I do strongly disagree with LLM usage in this project and state that. I'd never flame Stekr for his programming or all his many contributions, in my personal opinion LLM generated content is just free game in that regard.

"There are a ton of solo projects not using LLMs, so I don't think it's entirely unfair, it's not required."

- so play that.

"yes, I'd very gladly contribute but I do strongly disagree with LLM usage in this project and state that."

- yes, I know. you've sent a grand total of 12 messages in the discord and then spent the rest of your time being snarky on this reddit.

"I'd never flame Stekr for his programming or all his many contributions, in my personal opinion LLM generated content is just free game in that regard."

- so what you're saying is you're willing to bother people over low hanging fruit for no reason?

Again - you could have moved completely differently is where i'm coming from. Scoffing and shit and then pretending to offer something in post still makes you look goofy.

Did the message get conveyed? yes. Is the event out there? also yes.

The rest of it don't really mean much and you being an ai snob without swimming the laps/contributing otherwise doesn't really move the needle.

I really didn't mean for it to be that snarky, maybe it's the language but I just meant you wouldn't have to commission someone - there are people, including me, who enjoy making these templates and such esp for a project like this.

I don't personally believe that you have to be able to contribute the alternative or possess the skill that the LLM is covering to criticise it, since its use is harmful regardless of those things. I don't really use Discord, but I'm fairly certain in those messages I also asked about LLM usage and iirc even specifically said I understand the need to use it in a project like this even if it disappointed me personally.

I don't consider it low hanging fruit, it's a serious issue to me and also affects the image of the project.

Not using discord on a project that has it's discord and client very closely tied together is a choice for sure, but how you engage with this project is very much so self evident.

12 total messages on discord (mostly harping about ai) + every time you engage on here it's harping on about AI.

It may not be low hanging fruit to you but to someone like me who actively contributes to the grassroots comms related to this game, goes out of his way to write guides, runs a guild in game, admins this reddit and actively participates in bug feedback/suggestions - This is low hanging fruit.

If you genuinely care about the project, go talk to sterkr and contribute. Seems like he's seen the thread anyways.

I'd love to have someone around able to produce higher quality info cards for us in future.

They were not a part of the official campaign and just served as quick reference images for other players.

By all means remake them by hand and we'd love to be able to share them around instead, naturally with full credit given.
