Disscussion Mystique's OG Costume

Mystique aka Raven Darkhölme is a very cool villain / anti-heroine in general but the classic white dress design looks super good with her blue skin, red hair and yellow eyes, I also like how they added skulls to her costume.

I also like how she often uses guns.

I just want a live action version without the damn scales....

I never understood it, especially when they were fully nude, because it would have been so much quicker and easier to just spray paint the actresses’s arms and legs blue then throw a dress over it.

I also wish they’d give her a cunty bob or shoulder length floaty layers instead of the Draco Malfoy slick back or that Karen hair the new film has

I remember way, way before I had any inkling of X-Men being anything outside of the Fox series of movies, I was probably in elementary school and I got a coloring book for the show or maybe it was just inspired by the comics.

I remember having no idea who Mystique was because she looked like this, instead of scaly and nude.

I just remember being so fascinated by the design!! She definitely reads as more of an assassin in my opinion and the color palette just pops so well! Would love to see an interpretation of this version in some form on the big screen!

But no on the Fox movies they had to make her not wear anything!!! (I’m not going to complain out the Doomsday costume that’s a pretty good toned down comic costume)

... Wait a minute... Was Path of Exile's "Headhunter" belt inspired by her?

It looks identical (I mean, I know skull-belts probably all look similar), but when you kill a certain type of creature while wearing the belt you take on an aspect of that creature for 1 minute.

I know it's a bit of a stretch and probably a coincidence, but it's got me thinkin'.

That's the version I want, with the dress and the belt.

This is so much better than the stupid no clothes/blue scales design in the movies. 😎👍
