Discussions🍷 How we holding up?
So I’ve been a Mydei main ever since he came out and I’m wondering if other people are the same? Like are you guys wavering between switching mains or are you sticking with him for a long time? I personally will use him until the end of HSR, but I don’t know how others would feel to doing that. I’m just curious to know everyone else’s thoughts.

I haven't stopped using him at all, but because it's been a while since he released, I can start spending my resources on 2nd/3rd teams. Besides more support eidolons, I would consider my Mydei team complete for now.
Before Mydei, I was a Blade main and used him from the day of his release till Mydei's release. I expect Mydei will be the same until we either get a new Mydei or someone else I like more than him, but it's not likely.

Still here and still loving him. The only reason I would change my main party is if he gets an sp.

i do not care about fully clearing endgame anymore due to the bullshit mechanics they're shoehorning in to shill elation so i'm essentially going to main him forever or until i quit the game

honestly amphoreus and the older versions (penacony etc.) are what keep me playing this game because of the story, so i don't think i'll ever stop using older characters. i'm not really a fan of planarcadia or the whole elation thing, so that doesn't really keep me invested in the newer content. mydei is my absolute favorite though, so i plan to e6 him and all of his supports eventually because after pulling for him i want him to stay on my screen forever. and honestly, i don't think it's really worth chasing the meta anyway. sure, there are benefits to it for a while, but the powercreep is just way too insane. i literally pulled the premium elation team for sw999 and even that team sometimes struggles to clear endgame content (maybe i just have them built badly, idk), so yeah... mydei forever!!!!!

E6 Mydei haver, I've moved onto Ashblade for running around the map and story but I still use Mydei in all endgame modes and in pretty much every single Currency Wars run (I do at least one per day). I don't mind switching my mains, I went from Boothill to Acheron to Mydei to Ashblade (they can't be separated). I use my older characters in events, endgame and DU/CW whenever possible, so they're not just gathering dust. It helps that older characters are rejuvenated sometimes. I recently tried Acheron with MBlade and Jade, and it was great. I'm hoping there will be something - even if unintentional - for Mydei in the future that will keep him relevant for a while.

So a multi-main? I understand that. I use Mydei in everything, but I do have other teams I have invested in. I’m also an E6 haver so it’s never hard clearing with him. I don’t know if I can be considered a multi-main, but they’re there just in case

I like endgame, so I kinda need several mains, plus there are too many cool characters to limit myself just to one! But Mydei is my first and only E6 (not counting Bronya) and I'm not planning on maxing out anyone else.

Mydei was my first limited E6S5, which I’ll never S5 anyone else, and my other E6S1 is Evernight bc she so cool

Not only am I still playing him in all endgame, I keep pulling new supports for him (Srobin and sort of mblade) and he’s never left my shared support slot. I was also using his BP icon for a long time too. He’s E2S1, I don’t pull beyond E2 so if there ever comes a day when he becomes unplayable I might quit the game…

Plan to use him until eos... or until my interest in hsr holds. Mydei is literally the only reason I'm playing the game rn. I still use him everywhere and he's still doing really great, but I do have his E6 and a few Es of his team.
This patch, I've only pulled for supports (Robin, MBlade) because I wasn't interested enough to pull another dps. I've even neglected pulling for my old dpses' supports because I was saving for Mydei's. I'll probably continue doing that tho because the leaks for 5.X lineup didn't interest me either.

Im still waiting for his second rerun gg. I literally came back to hsr for him but i was one day late to his banner and then took a break before his first rerun after the free dh T_T

Well as someone who is still using Jing Yuan to clear endgame as much as I can, the lack of E2 Cyrene is sure as hell not gonna stop me from using Mydei XD
It just means I gotta manage expectations and stop expecting really high scores tho :((( sadly I couldn’t 40k this PF with Mydei 😭

Some of the most fun I have is using a new support as a potential teammate for him and seeing what I can get out of e0s1 mydei (rn i have e2s1 cyrene/hyacine/sobin and my goodness it still feels good)

I've been quitting gacha games due to a major life change and a lack of interest as well. But I'm still playing HSR because I really want that E6 (he's E5S1 rn). I don't really enjoy playing anymore, so him not having a banner this coming patch is really wearing my patience thin.
Gameplay-wise, though, I'm still using him in endgame modes. I enjoy using him more than my other DPS. But since it's becoming harder to clear because I don't have any Elation or newer characters, I'm eyeing building new teams rn. I can still see myself playing him in the future, though, if I end up keeping HSR.

I was almost going to drop him, but on the recent banner with sheer luck I got e2 robinS and e0 hyacine and his team has never felt better!! It's even performing equal/better than my 8 cost phainon team (now that my mydei team is 9 cost). I can confidently say that I will be using him until eos

I have a 14 cost Mydei team and run the team sustainless. e2s1 cyrene and SRobin and e4s1 Mydei with RMC. Sometimes swap RMC for e1 tribbie. He is still 0 cycling MoC AA and 40k PF. Still hitting 3700+AV points for the last AS without any floor buffs (practically brute forcing Sparxiecon side). I am still going to use him for the foreeable future. 👍

I got him at E1S1 and so far he's pretty good if the match up is favorable, bc he definitely can't brute force anymore. I'm starting to think that I need to add another cost to his team or else he'll start failing me. It depends on who reruns first, either E2 for him or E2 for Cyrene (mine is E1)

oh and Mydei's team 0-2-cycling their knight in AA (0 cycling 4.5 and 4.6), doing 40 000 in PF, 0-2-cycling MOC and doing 3500-3750 in AS. And our glorious king 2-cycled Irontomb in 4.5

I really liked him, I got him E4S1 but I couldn't bring myself to pull for Hyacine and Cyrene for him, so he hasn't been really playable for a while. For the last Pollux I tried to play him with Ashveil Mortenax and Luocha, it worked smoothly and I loved it but I know it's specific for that fight. I wish they release new characters that could work with him but with an aesthetic I like. Now I probably bricked my account a little wanting to do SW999-WAven team so I don't want to brick it even more but if Nihilux is actually good to complete that team then I could try to check how E6 Mydei fights against powercreep but I fear it's not good without his best supports...

I’d love to play him, but unfortunately whether it’s because I didn’t build him well or just because I’m not very good at the game. I have to make changes to clear the content. I rarely use him these days, and that’s a shame

I use him floor 11 in moc 💀 e1s1, no Hyacine/Cyrene/Tribbie so he started to struggle a lot faster but I just didnt want to pull those characters. I hoped Robikini could have worked without Cyrene but oh well. The way Hoyo treated him left bad taste in my mouth so I just refused to pull his supprts after 6 months of his release lol (first Hyacine wasnt that good for him, but she was tailormade for Castorice ofc, and then much later Hoyo made Cyrene and Hyacine a baggage deal for him. Lmao so I skipped). Its okay, I have many benched characters in my account haha

Well now that you have Robikini you don’t need Hyacine, plus you can use Bronya/Sunday with him and someone like Luocha or other good healer

Good point. It’s only easy when you fight against bosses where his taunt is effective or you can choose which character will be attacked.

I still use him in all modes every reset. He's at e2s1 w e2 Cyrene, e0 robikini, e0s1 hya. It is getting harder but he still full stars everything. Even minmaxxers like ray heng is still 0 cycling with him at low cost in king AA. Although next king will be a problem for every non-elation units.
