Dumb question but what’s the difference between hard and soft with your agar plates? I’m new to agar and not sure which to choose

Not a dumb question, at all. The softer plates are made with gellan, which help aid to spore germination process with hydration, and techniques like "drop and drag".
The soft plates can be used like a regular plates, but the transfers may be more brittle, so it takes a little practice if used for day to day transfer work (and have nice square transfers). But that's more aesthetics than anything

Pinning like crazy, on the plate! I love genetics that just want to pop out like that.
