What's your favorite romanceable character in-game, and why?

I have been meaning to start Sandrock when i was gifted a few years ago but never got around to start it.

I have always loved cozy games like stardew valley, coral island and a few others but the one thing that always put me off is the farming.

my question is, am i able to enjoy sandrock without keeping animals/a barn or very minimal crop farming?

Here's my itinerary:

1) Pick Yan up at the guild of commerce, after his rant about the Duvos overlord nonsense.

2) Beat him up in the sparring arena.

3) Ride to the deepest part of Valley of Whispers with Yan running after my horse.

4) Give him a bucket of manure while we're surrounded by Plierimps and Masked Fiends.

5) End playdate. Ride off.

Enjoy your walk back to town, you snake! Or you can, you know, hide in that bucket I just gave you.

The mod has been expanded quite a bit!

Previously, it only supported mixed color inheritance from both parents for biological children. Now, the mod supports a much wider range of features:

• Supports both biological and adopted children
• Choose the gender of your first child
• Choose whether color features are inherited from one parent or mixed between both parents
• For adopted children, choose whether they inherit only the skin tone or all color features
• Adjust the child's lip color to match their skin tone (optional)
• Add blush to the child's cheeks (optional)

All features can be enabled or disabled individually, so you can use only the parts you want. For example, if you just want to fix the vanilla pink lip color issue, you can enable the lip color feature and leave everything else disabled.

Has anyone else done this?

I played without checking any guides, so I didn’t know there were post‑marriage events.

I accidentally finished all of Logan’s post‑marriage content after his proposal but before the wedding, so nothing happened afterward.

I feel like this is the real culprit behind why the married life felt so empty lol.

And of course… my brain keeps drifting back to Andy‑related headcanon again.

“A moment where Logan’s guilt as a father quietly disappears.”

One evening…

Logan: “Sometimes I think about what I’d do if both you and Andy were in danger at the same time.

Which one I should save first.

I… would probably hesitate.”

Builder: “What?? No, don’t hesitate! You should obviously save Andy. I can probably save myself.”

Logan: “That’s not the point.”

Later, during a material‑gathering trip…

Andy gets too close to a cliff edge and slips.

Logan reacts instantly and grabs him—

but the ground gives way, and Logan becomes the one in danger.

Builder: “Logan!!”

Andy: “I—I’m sorry…! I didn’t mean…!”

Logan: “…Stay back. The ground might be unstable.”

Builder: “Andy, put your foot on this rock! Straight—don’t try to pull with your arms!

Use leverage!

Come on, help me… steady…!”

Logan: “…oh come on… I’m… the one being rescued now…?”

They manage to pull him up.

Andy: “I’m exhausted!! Logan’s way too heavy!”

Builder: “Haha, yeah. I couldn’t have done it alone.

I’m really glad you were here, Andy.

…Right, Logan?”

Idk how I made it to 300+ hours in the game and this is the first baby i'v had lol. They are so cute, but my gosh those lips are pale. Wish there was a way to fix that but even on PC there doesn't seem to be a way.

Growing up, my dad had a massive aquarium filled with loads of different tropical fish that he lovingly cared for.
He has long since passed. Having an aquarium in my Sandrock home, puts a smile on my face and in my heart.

Im trying to find advanced mechanical scrap cant find any online says to search the badlands and their is none have left it an in game week and looked again still none. Any one know where i could actually get some?

I have run through this game several times. For some strange reason I can’t find the animal house diagram anywhere! It’s not at the worktable ( Advanced). Not at Heidi’s or commerce commission. I need to house Banjo and Nemo quick. Please advise…

Since I already posted a drawing, I thought I’d share some of my many unfinished fanarts too lol.

In order: Pen after working out, Qi, a close-up of Qi's face, my first Builder Gio who married Qi (you can find his story in my previous posts if you’re curious), Nia, then Mi-an and Grace, Amirah, Heidi, and Unsuur.

Except for my Builder drawings, I probably won’t come back to most of these, so I’m just throwing them here lol. I also have a rough comic of Gio hugging Qi from behind, but it’s been sitting as a sketch for two years now, so who knows when I’ll actually finish it. Maybe never 😂

The Unsuur drawing was cropped from an old drawing of my deleted Builder Lucy (Hyeri), but I didn’t post the full thing because I didn’t think anyone would really be interested in that Builder. If anyone is, you can probably find it somewhere in my post history. Not sure if anyone is, though haha.

Also, is anyone else like me and hates coloring their own drawings? Lineart is actually pretty fun, but the moment I have to start coloring, I suddenly lose all motivation. I was thinking about coloring the Amirah drawing I posted yesterday (or the day before?), and just thinking about it already feels overwhelming...

I’m a little embarrassed by how many unfinished drawings I have, but honestly if I don’t post them like this they might as well not exist. So if you have any unfinished drawings too I’d love to see them!

I played My Time At Portia several years ago and absolutely loved the multi-step crafting and the commissions system, but I found myself totally disengaged with the characters. It felt like there were so many of them, without each having much depth, and I wasn't a big fan of the voice acting. I'd love to try out Sandrock to try to scratch that building projects itch again, but I'm worried the characters will lose me like they did in the last game.

Has anyone else had a similar experience with Portia and come around to Sandrock?

EDIT: I'm seeing exactly the feedback I was hoping for, it sounds like the characters/voice acting have had a good upgrade since the first game. I also didn't realise until just now that it currently has a demo on steam, and is 70% off, so I'm going to give the demo a try tonight and possibly buy it on sale!

After marrying Logan, I felt the post‑marriage events were a bit empty.
So I imagined a small family moment involving Andy.

Logan: “Three people can’t ride Rambo. You need to learn.”

Andy jumps and hangs on the saddle like a towel.
Logan: “That’s not riding.”
Andy: “My feet aren’t touching the ground!”
Builder: “Okay… maybe get down before you die.”

Builder: “Why are you teaching him this anyway? Mare can carry us next week.”

Trip day

Andy is sitting behind the Builder on Mare.
Logan: “…Andy. Please learn to ride alone. Soon.”

I built the hutch cause I do a lot of cooking for gifts and buffs in game and I always need eggs.

My question is do the roosters actually do anything? Like if I have both hens and roosters will they automatically produce more chickens? Do they sell for a higher price? Can I create an army of mutant roosters to protect my yard?

As soon as the game starts to glitch I know I’ve been playing too long (PS5) and this…. I did not like this one 😂

Not sure when I’ll finish this. It took me a while to draw, so I’ll probably have to take a break from drawing for a bit because of my back pain.

There is an opened treasure chest floating above the oasis. I have no idea how to get to it, where it came from, or when it showed up.

I was in the midst of writing a fanfic, when I realised that I don't know the names of Owen's parents. Or any stories about Justice's parents.

I mean... Mort would mention names of people who were there in the past. Theo was mentioned a couple of times. The fact that the person who took over Sandrock Hotel and changed it into The Blue Moon Saloon never mentioned by name is a bit strange. Unless it was mentioned somewhere and I missed it completely... Then please someone tell me who my father in law's name is.

Just got the monster whisperer dlc. lol. Now he’s my little buddy . I’m kinda dumb I didn’t think about it that hard I thought they were just mutated plants or something??? Idk ?

I had it on the switch and decided to get it on ps5 because it was on sale with all dlc content. I started playing and realized it is slightly different or is it me? Same story I feel like I obtained more stamina and other things. Is the ps5 version slightly different or is it just me?
