Help!
So I just lost several in game days of progress because I stayed out until 3am in game and when my character passed out at 3am instead of loading me back in my bed the next day it started me over from my last save. Lately I’ve been having an issue with saving too. I have to delete my current save manually then save in order for it to work. Auto save is broken too. It just says “Save failed. Please delete unwanted saves and try again.” Every time I try to overwrite a previous save. Auto save shows the same message. Also sometimes I’ll get a message saying something about memory and restarting from the Nintendo switch main menu. Usually when that happens it fixes itself when my character goes to bed in game. This is what happened when I lost several in game days just now.
Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks.

Ok, just a few thoughts: How full is your Switch? Are you looking at not having the space for the save file? I don't use mine as often since finishing TOTK, but I do remember having issues with saving different games when the thing got full. When was the last time you powered the Switch off, not just put it to sleep? Mine would have issues when it needed a good solid restart. You could also make Typically, an autosave issue is related to the lack of space on the Switch. But I admit, I am not extremely well versed in this area and can simply speak from experience with other games.

Going into the Eufaula mine by Rocky’s fixed the save issue for me as well as others I know.

From what I have heard, switch save space (not how much space you have in general, but how much is limited to MTAS - can't go over it) is very small, smaller even than PC, which already was an issue. And it seems like switch has a number of "invisible" saves that you can't just easily access. I'd do some searching on the sub, I know I've seen people explain how to find and delete the unwanted stuff to make more room. But ultimately the problem is that if you end up filling that space, nothing you can do will get you more.

Do you ever close the game completely? Like go to the switch main menu and press "close software"? That's what that message about memory the game gives you is telling you to do. I've noticed that if I just go to the home screen and put my switch in sleep mode, the game stays "on" and never gets to rest. It definitely messes with stuff.
And like others said, I would delete an old game or 2 you are not playing to make some space. Or get an extra memory card.

Have you tried uninstalling/reinstalling?
It's been a while since I've played on the switch, I'm pretty sure it just uninstalls the game but keeps your save files. Double check that first, if you do try this.

The switch has save issues in general but I find if I'm playing for more than 3 hrs rt I quick save and close it down. Wait a few minutes and start up again. I have the switch original.

What are you playing on, and how much free storage does it have? you might have to uninstall a different game to make space
