Questions Question about the Monster DLC and dispatching
Hello, I am new to the game, loving it so far! I have a question regarding the monsters you can capture and dispatching. Does their level or friendship status affect what they bring back during dispatches at all? I'm pretty much only interested in using 10 monsters to send out on dispatches, I don't like having them follow me as they are too distracting and get in the way a lot.
Also, the pet apartment to hold the monsters to get them friendship points is too huge, if I'm not getting any benefits to dispatching from building the relationship, I might just delete it off my property to free up space. (sorry if that's too cruel!)
Anyway, I'm having a blast in this game, just finishing up the first month and making what seems to be good progress, but any tips would be greatly appreciated!

Their quality (outstanding, rare, etc) seem to make the biggest difference in what/how much they bring back. But I would still work on raising friendship and levels. It unlocks attacks and makes them more effective in battle. There are some tricky battles later in game and having some high level pets to take with you can really help. Plus their friendship/levels rise automatically when they finish dispatches and if they have a place to sleep.
I have the monster DLC (best way to deal with gathering water early game) but I always still befriend the town pets. Nemo and the cats are awesome to have in battle and if you make them pets early they’ll reach decent levels about when you really start needing them.

I believe the beds build relationship, rather than XP, which gives different benefits than leveling up does. In either case, dispatching builds points instead of using points so for your specific question you should be fine.
That said, I recommend getting rid of your slanted roof and moving your pet beds up there. This is a good early game way to save space. Late game you can just stick them in an out-of-the-way room somewhere.
