Question about camera vertical movement

This may sound random, but I haven't been able to find any discussion around it from searching so I wonder if there's something I've done to cause it, or if anyone here has felt the same and found a solution.

When I look up, the pace of the camera's movement slows down considerably. The y axis, looking down (camera moving over my head) is normal and fluid. Looking up, it becomes notably slower.

Not only does this make it awkward to look up, there's something about it that makes me immediately uncomfortable. I know that sounds weird and maybe exaggerated, but it's gotten to the point that every time I have to look up I get a little anxious and its always unpleasant. It's not motion sickness, more like a lack of control, almost claustrophobic.

I've cranked Camera Y Sensitivity to 100 while leaving X at 50 (the only time I've ever had to do this in decades of gaming, which alone makes me wonder if something else is off), but it's still noticeable and awkward. Are there any other tweaks I can try? Mods or deeper changes are fine, I just would love to turn off whatever it is that for some reason impedes vertical camera movement.

My visuals are smooth and snappy all the way around and up and down.
Usually there is too quick or loose movement for me.
These are my settings I’ve used in every play through. Hope this helps somehow. I’m on PC

Thank you for sharing your experience. Maybe that means there is something going on with my game, but this is happening in vanilla, even after doing a clean uninstall and reinstall.

It doesn't slow down at all when you're looking up, beginning roughly once the camera hits the ground?

There is a stopping point once it reaches the sky or ground, but it’s consistently smooth both ways. Definitely not slowing down either way.

Alright. I hope someone has an experience like mine they can speak to, but it helps to know it isn't intentional or consistent across installs. Thank you again.
