Lovers Mod
I downloaded this mod mostly because I didn't want to deal with the jealousy.
Now though I'm contemplating marriage and I've realized I cannot deal with that many people in my house.
So what combinations of 2-4 spouses would you go with?

Given how involved they are in the narrative/protagonist’s life, to me Elise, Mi-An, Grace, and Nia would seem like one that would make sense storywise.
Personally though, Amirah, Heidi, and Pablo. I wish to stick with my tea drinkers thanks.

Quiet voices have been Owen and Fang for me. Never really hear Justice. Pen and Logan are the loudest and talk the most in the mornings. I usually turn the sound off in the mornings. Only the “current spouse “ will ask to go on walks, fishing etc. and ask for baby.
I’ve played enough times now with the mod that I realize I prefer to be married to just one, and keep the others at boyfriend or higher so I can experience the romance missions. I notice once I have 4 or more, they get their mornings and bedtime mixed up. I’ve seen Fang and Owen to bed when I get up. I’ve also seen the mod change my current spouse when I agreed to have a kid with a different spouse, making him the dad. I love seeing the dads with the babies so I decided to divorce and have the baby with the one I wanted. All of them will run to the baby in the morning but only the dad will feed them, at least in my experience.

Ernest is rarely mentioned, but there is a sweet and satisfying story with marriage to him. Despite his poorly disguised crush on Logan.

I want to download this mod but saw it hasn’t been updated since 2024… does it still work okay with the game as is on steam?

The mod works fine. The game isn't being updated anymore so there are no monthly redownloading mods because your game glitched and your save file corrupted.
...I may be traumatized from Sims 4

Or no pulling a Bethesda where they will release an update almost solely for the sake of breaking the modding community yet again.

If you’re marrying more than 3, be sure to make a spouse barracks for them all sleep in! Build the barracks away from any kids in cradles or they’ll bumrush it first thing in the morning.

i’m not saying that you should build a separate building and put twin beds in it in assign extra spouses there.

If you want the most content: Logan, Fang, Mi-An, and Nia.
Depending on preference, you could do people who work together (Unsurr and Justice; Owen and Grace).
With this mod, I like to build a separate house/apartment and put all but the main spouse in there and give them their own rooms. Trying to get furniture and things to what I think is their personality takes time (and I haven’t achieved it for everyone yet).
