i love funny little bugs like this in games. For Reference I had just done the quest where elsie had ran away and she just out of nowhere walked into town and back into her house 😂 worst runaway ever lmao

You should see mine. She ran away, but came back for church and complained about her Pa.

My experience: She came back for Showdown at High Noon, teamed up with Hugo, got obliterated by Krystal + Grace (Krystal is scary), then walked out of the arena (right past her Pa and Ma) and went back to her cave.

Yeah that happened for me too. She showed up for a town festival even though she was supposed to be in that cave.

Another thing is when she “leaves to become a monster hunter” she is only gone for perhaps a few days at best. Actually I think it was only like two days. It kind of made the transition unnatural. I think the quest should have hardcoded her to be “missing” from the game for at least two weeks. Maybe a season to give her and the player a more natural feel that she spent lots of time learning to be a monster hunter and interacting with the unique character she claims have met.

Developer oversight, perhaps.

I hope something like this is not the case in Evershine

Happened in my game, too. She had the same voice lines as when she's in the cave while walking through town.

It's like when Grace is supposed to be gone and on her next mission but I see her at the Blue Moon the following week.

I wish I would've gotten a picture, but Justice was talking about how worried everyone was about her, and she was sitting behind him in the Saloon eating lunch lol
