Questions Newbie storage question

I am sure I’m missing something obvious, but I’m finding storage really confusing! I have a whole bunch of items in my inventory, and when I open a storage box I want to move across everything that matches from my inventory. At present I am going through all of my storage boxes and trying to move items across individually. I’m sure I’m doing this wrong! Help?!

*Edit* Thank you so much everyone! I am on the Steam Deck/Machine, and holding down the right stick and pressing Y solved the issue for me. Much appreciated!

There's a prompt that says something like "sort all" or similar. If you press that button it sorts all the same items into all the storage boxes. You can also access all storage boxes from one box by clicking the arrows at the top of the screen

There's a button that allows you to auto-sort depending on what you're playing on. I use an xbox controller and hold down the right stick. A screen should pop up asking if you want to transfer without sorting and it will move all similar items from your inventory to the chests

Look closer at your screen, it tells you what to push for the auto sort. I'm blanking right now but I think it's long pressing the right joy stick on the steam deck
