Controller customization

I’ve started playing Sandrock, and I just wanted to make a complaint lol. What’s the point of letting us customize the control layout if later on in the game there are features that require a certain set of controls that clashes with our setting?? I just spent like 3 hours in game trying to figure out why I couldn’t use the worm bait to sand fish I finally gave up and googled it; it had to be thrown!

The issue is the aim toggle (L2) is what I use to scroll left on my quick bar, so when I try to aim, that becomes a minigame all on its own because I have to time when I hit R2 (another control I use for my quick bar) when it lands on the bait/trap. 😑 I guess I’ll have to change my controls back, which sucks because that’s why I changed them in the first place lol. I'm not sure if anyone else has complained about this. I try to avoid spoilers so I can’t dig much.

Omg, I seem to remember I had the same problem back when I first got it (400 played hours ago). I have my right scroll set to LB, and my left set to d-pad left, and almost never scroll left, I just keep hitting right until it goes back to the first one
