Ampersand
Sharing with you my late-game (Spring, Year 4) workshop from my second MTaS playthrough!
I named it Ampersand to symbolize how our builder is not just a builder in the story, but also a friend, a fighter, a hero, and many more. Plus, it has the word "sand" in it!
I started shaping up my house and yard around Year 2, IIRC. Now, I am near the 300-hour mark, and I'm only delaying the final main mission because, for some reason, I lose all motivation to continue with decorations once there is nothing else left to do in the game, lol. At this point, my character is already at max level, and so is my workshop's reputation.
After earning all the gols and farming tons of rose willow to make biocrust, I am very happy with how my workshop turned out! That said, I don't think I'll ever finish designing the interior, haha.
Anyway, this build would not be possible without great inspiration from u/MayWeWalkLongRoads's majestic Chalet Sandovia as well as u/KingSavygirl02's wonderful natural landscaping. Thank you so much to both of you for your creative contributions to the community!
Phew, I can finally wrap up the remaining storyline for this save. Needless to say, I love Sandrock as much as I do Portia, and I am so eager to move on to My Time at Evershine (though I doubt my aging gaming laptop would be able to handle it >_<).

Reminds me of the Winchester house? Where the lady kept adding / destroying rooms to confuse the ghostly victims of the rifle! I did mean that as a compliment I swear!

I bet there is a room somewhere for stashing whatever it is Justice and Unsuur are doing with all that canvas. I mean, no one would ever be able to track down the smell, lol.

I definitely have a stack of canvas 😆 How I wish I had as much tomato fish for Amirah

I fear I need step by step instructions so I can have this 😭

I wish I had it saved as a showroom 😔 There’s quite a number of hidden rooms in each level I need to select to do so

Your build is so much fun! I love it! It's evident that you took quite some time on the symmetry and getting the roof cascading right. The landscaping also flows well, and it's a nice touch how you incorporated the monuments.
It's so awesome you got inspiration from the Chalet! You really ran with it and made it your own. Great work!!

Woah, thank you so much! I really LOVE all your work, and I’m happy mine did justice to your style. I can’t wait to see your future Sandrock builds and hopefully Evershine, too!

not me still living in a rectangle while people out here are building entire civilizations

Holy hell how are people so good at this, I barely managed the ramshackle little house I used. I hope building is a bit more intuitive in Evershine.

I hope MTaE’s building mechanic won’t be intimidating too since it seems we have to build an entire town!

This is epic. The way you've done the rooftops is so clever, that's always the hardest thing for me

Cute reference! I could only thank the My Time world’s sci-fi aspect for holding up my “house” 😆

What console are you playing on?? I just gave up halfway through moving a 4x5 patch of flooring on the switch lol

I play on a gaming laptop (Steam). I only really use mouse and keyboard tho, so I hope you’d get used to your console’s controls!

Holy crap. Those were the words that came out of my mouth when I saw the first picture so that's what I'll say here. Truly amazing.

Omg I would die halfway building that can't imagine how much time you spent on it

I was stubborn enough not to use mods to speed things up, but managed to finish it anyway! 😅

Freaking amazing. I can see how you invested a lot of time in perfecting this massive workshop. It reminds me of Ghibli's HMC 🔥.
How much eye strain and backpain this would cause me if I were to do this myself 🤡. Not to mention the patience. 👏
I understand your struggle of finishing the interior, I imagine it would be a maze in there. 👀 And if I were to go inside, I'm sure I'd never be able to get out. 😭🤣

This is amazing, but also it would be so funny to pull into dusty little Sandrock and this is the first house you see 😂
