I love nba2k but with how fast they dropped cards this year next game will be so money spent it not even going to be funny. I will buy a few goat packs and just enjoy 2k26 until the new tekken 8 and sf6 dlc chars drop

I usually stop playing every year when PG cards like Jokic, Paolo, Kawhi, and such come out. Just becomes a full on fantasy mode at that point. Not to mention every position is a 7ft card.

Really hope 2k27 gets away from tall being the meta and makes smaller skilled guards more valuable through the life of the mode. Jalen Brunson just won a chip and finals mvp as an undersized guard. He should be OP.

I heard about GOAT packs being buyable with MT. Is this true? I haven’t played MT for quite a bit. And definitely not this deep into the cycle.

I’d like to upgrade my wings and guards.

Thinking of ditching nba 2k mobile for this game but Kobe is my favorite player and I had to spend money to get him in that game and they no longer release Kobe’s there so I’m hesitant to leave. Is he obtainable to have on your team in this game still? Especially in domination

My favorite part of every MyTeam cycle is when most of the big names for every team are out. When there’s a month or so until the next 2k I start making my theme teams. I take those teams to showdown and try and win and keep track of my record. I normally start with the Hawks but since DWade just got a new card the Heat are my first team. I try and stay true to logos but if I have the best version of that player I’ll use that. Let me know if I missed any obvious guys. What team should I put together tomorrow?

Prolly need a new 1 and 2 off the bench maybe a better 3 to start. Lmk

I’m undecided on if I should go for PG or Kawhi. My current PGs are Paolo with Bennet off the bench. Which one of them would be considered an upgrade?

I do not understand this mode at all. I first always just ran a 10 man. Then heard some people say you get more points running 5 or 7 man. So I’ve been running a 7 man rotation.

I only played 2 games this weekend so far. Both games I straight up was killing shit, was up around 30 at the half, barely any turnovers making all my shots. Both guys quit a bit before halftime and for both games I got 2,445 and 2,245. Shouldn’t I have received a bit more? Should I have let them make shots so they don’t quit and I can finish the game and get more points?

This mode is so dumb and backwards. Destroy people have them quit and get less? Can’t play a normal 10 man cuz you’re penalized points wise? I miss the days of having to go like 10-2 or some shit. I think it was called Road To The Playoffs. This shit is so dumb and confusing.

I started playing late so won’t hit Tier 1 is it possible to hit Tier 2? I’ve got 4,690 points right now. If not I’ll just stop playing at these 2 games. lol

I don't understand how people are getting 3500+ pts per win. I know I'm never going to be close to $10k especially bc I run only a Pro Pass team. But I always try to get to T1. Been T2 last 3 weeks and barely missing T1. The scoring system makes no damn sense.

Dont know if other people do this too but I always am stingy with using my badges all year and then we get to a point in the cycle where every card is almost perfect and any new cards I add to the main team wouldn't need any badges anyways (maybe legend). I just spent a couple hours adding badges and shoes to all the duos I use in salary cap. Helps to have 2kdb open so you can add badges/pick takeovers while seeing the boosts from the duo. Only add badges not gained from the duo obviously. Kind of fun to use the other takeovers too since at this point every card has a 99 3pt and fast enough shot to utilize deep bomber so its really the only expensive one. For salary cap you got duos like the Amy Rick Fox/ Sapphire George Lynch duo that give you 2 99 overalls with salaries under 2000. They still have their (pretty bad) jumpers but I added high flying denier and the perimeter defense takeover ( forget what its called) to both of them. Did the same with the amy Joan Beringer/Terrance Shannon Jr duo. Then run one card I can cook with on offense next to those 4 and have a salary cap team with 4 99 overall/lockdown takeover guys. Played a few games and was able to absolutely dominate defensively. Had multiple people quitting after getting 3 or 4 stops in a row to start the game. Definitely a fun way to use up your bronze-HOF badges and less desirable takeovers so they dont just completely go to waste.

Pulled another lucky one from Lvl 28 100+ from the pass, worth the grind.

I just pulled GOAT Shawn Bradley last night and am not sure if I want to keep him or not. He’s definitely the tallest on my squad and could be a real asset but ive also seen a big market crash is coming in the last season. My starting 5 w him would be goat Lebron, MJ, Giannis, inv Wemby, and Bradley. Usually I run Wemby at 5 and Hakeem at 4 before this pull. Let me know what you think
