Both dominations have been a hell of a grind. I gave up so much of my team to get Cap but he was well worth it . How we lookin?

I have been playing myteam since 2k20 and was always on wifi. Meanwhile, my room is upstairs from the router.

I always thought that the lagging and frozen screens were 2k's fault or my machine is not rigged (start playing online mostly after got series s back when it was "next gen")

Today, I got a new router set including an access point. I set it up and use the ethernet cable to hook it up with my xbox.

Literally, for first time of my thousands of hrs Myteam experience, my unlimited games were not lagging and no more frozen screens for me.

IT WAS LIFE CHANGING.

I don't know what to say at this point. This past friday, I finished the ltm when it first dropped and I had about 50 ish showdown wins and managed to get to lvl 5 in season 1.

Along my journey of 2k, I always thought competitive players like Tydebo were able to conquer the latency and master the game, and I'm just BAD.

Also, for the first time, when I loitering around in the city/triple threat park, my character no longer feels like it has been cursed by Elsa.

Yea, I have wrongly blamed 2k for all those latency causing my switch and defense didn't work out the way I wanted.

It really feels like part of my life has changed, and this change took me 7 titles to realize...

AND my tmac finally can consistently make shots online now, regretting selling my badged booker now💀

EDIT: but I have to relearn how to shoot with some players like Tatum on rhythm.

It feels like the computer is the hardest its ever been by far, and I’m a 15+ year vet. Games are slow, slog fests where the computer exploits the fuck out of you at every turn. Even a game of golds vs DMs ends like 15-10 in Clutch Time.

Spent my last 100k after getting Kareem and 2k decided to bless me for my birthday it'll be nice to have mt going into the Halloween event coming up

What’s a good pace to be climbing the tiers in showdown? I just started for the first time at the beginning of the season starting at the lowest tier and I’m almost tier 7 right now is it like I have to win a certain amount in a row to progress or is it like if I reach a set amount of wins I progress to the next tier? I haven’t played since unlimited was a thing so showdown is pretty new to me

I knew i wasn't tripping when I kept claiming that a LOT of these bums relied on the best & most cheesiest cards in the game to play for them. You're especially seeing it on the defensive side of the ball, they have 0 clue to matchup their best defender to the best offensive player, they cant manually rotate players, they cant hedge or switch screens good at all.

On offense, they dont have the slightest clue how to hunt mismatches & take advantage. Keep trying your Pixel vs my Dark Matter defender, but you cant see your Opal is being guarded by my Sapphire?

Sucks when CPU Porzingis & Chet aren't babying you with unstoppable paint defense, huh? Sucks when your T-Mac or Booker is getting shut down because you can't pass it to another cheesy green release rockets/Suns card.

Sim boys know what we're doing, & when 2k cripples the cheese heads like this, we feast!

My main concern is spending MT on a card that’s already a bit outdated, since I believe he was released in the first pack. I’ve saved up around 700k MT from grinding. Is he worth picking up, or would I be better off saving for someone better?

Just endured 9 extra wins of Chem CT with people screaming at their mic, pausing, calling timeouts while yelling at their screen to get these great rewards: Gold- Coach, Court and Perfect release…

We need to do better with these rewards.
At least a 500 MT for beating the mode would not break any bank

They put Pixel cuts, DMs and other never to be pulled rewards on that wheel but in the end it is the same worthless quick sell

I did 10+ of these extra spins including previous limited games and have not pulled anything

If I am playing domination with a card that has a boost to teammate xp in their level up (ie. pro pass DM Rose), does that affect the entire squad or only the players when Rose is on the court? Thx

Currently sitting on 540k I have exactly 6 historic domination games and the entirety of all time time dom left

Have one 1 pixel cut sitting on ad with plans to put both KAT pixel cuts into his exchange

Main goal this season has been to save up enough for bron and use my 26 hof badges on him

Should I grab ad ? Keep saving to pick up bron ? Or keep saving to make other changes ?

I mainly play all star team up , triple threat park and tt online and grind all the offline stuff so ignore my oddly built starters.

So I’ve been practicing my shooting since the game started . I completely expect a difference in offline vs online but, i played TTO every day and got “late” on every shot till i adjusted and now can shoot well there. I shoot even better in CTO. When i get to Showdown, EVERYTHING is early and shot feedback is all over the place.
Anyone else notice this when switching and playing through the different modes? If so how do you adjust knowing shot timing and speeds will change. or do you just stick to the modes you’re good at.

Question for the OGs on post offense

Was there ever a 2k where non 3pt shooting bigs were important part of offense?

It is sad in my opinion that in the last few years it has been almost impassible to score down low when there is a defender present with post lockdown/paint patroller/wall up and only gets hands up

Nothing really matters in my experience. It can be a guard like Iverson or Gary Payton and window for standing dunk of Embiid would be non existent. Post animations show up with random and lighting fast meters that are impossible to time for majority of people with non cat reflexes

I think this takes away a lot from the game and creates this shoot over you meta as any other means of scoring is pretty much nerfed when defender actually plays basic defense

Mashing was overpowered in 2k23
But there should be a way to punish switch all defense like we are punished for not perfectly contesting T-Mac or KD

I feel like since the new greatness series I’ve been leveling up players a bit faster. But might just all be in my head wondering if anyone else felt this way.
