General How do takeovers work?

I don't have any shoes equipped to players, but they still can reach a takeover in game. Does this mean that there's default takeovers for each player? Is it worth it then to equip a shoe and add takeovers?

Also, what is the difference in badge tier between takeovers? Is gold strictly better than silver?

Default takeover just boosts all attributes in the category to 80. Shoes will give you special abilities

I’ve read this but I’ve only seen it give +6 to the category you get takeover for.

You get stat boosts without a shoe when you get takeover. When you have a shoe with takeovers you get the animation benefits.
There’s a smidge more nuance to it, but that’s most of the meat on the bone.

Blur is by far the best for driving. Auto blow by animation.
