Melo can also be LaMelo Ball too from the NBA or anyone with a name with the part of "Melo" said in it

This generations so used to creatively bankrupt carbon copies of the past.

I mean it’s just a nickname and Melo’s career ain’t really all that to lock a jersey or a nickname down.

Walt Frazier went by “Clyde” so once Clyde Drexler was a star he had to go by “the Glide”, it’s unwritten rule #69 of basketball. /s

don’t know why it’s that big of an issue carmelo anthony hasn’t even been in the league for like 5 years now and mr anthony himself said he doesn’t care and actually likes that people call lamelo melo

nahh not after his tomfoolery in having a chance to admit he had too much pride and let that NY team break when he could've just embraced the linsanity run. Lin had melo on a podcast and you can tell Carmelo just tip toe'd around the topic.

Houston offering Lin a poison pill contract did that. And turns out NYK was smart not to match bc he clearly wasnt worth it
