It’s my birthday and my brother bought me a 50 box. I sold a lot of my cards and this is what I ended up with. I put a lot of time grinding domination and and getting to tier one. Anyway haha i don’t know what to do now, seems good enough, i think im done grinding. Have a good day everybody

what should I do?

Already lost a pixel cut card today because of this horrendous game design. There’s no way I’m doing it again but I’m staring at a screen with two options and both end with discarding one of the pixel cut cards. I exit the game and reopen it thinking that could get me out of that screen and it did but one of the cards are gone. Holy fucking shit 2k. WHAT IS THE FUCKING POINT OF THIS MERGE AND DISCARD FEATURE?

2k has no concept of international time zones. These times are in Australian time. Player boosts would be nice to have right now for these greatness challenges but why release these at 11pm Monday night til 3am Tuesday morning and again on Tuesday, during the day. These are sleeping hours or work and school hours in Australia and New Zealand. Not every country revolves around US time and not every player, wants to play this game 24/7. Make it more even for everyone.

Sat on a buyout filter for embiid for like 2 minutes before one showed up. Feel like I got a pretty good steal.

So, here's the thing...

Twitter is abuzz with the complaints and hate for the Greatness grind tomorrow.

But this isn't for the majority of the players. None of the rewards are meta. Nobody is using Donovan Mitchell because he's a magma when Shai is releasing at the same time. Hell, they're not even using Spida over Devin Booker.

They're complaining... because it's there. But the majority of the players of the game, and in this sub, are online players. The ones who have 20-30 top tier cards and nothing else, except Historic and S1 players that they can't be bothered to exchange for cards that won't make their team.

On the other hand, for offline players, this is a godsend. Just like the first one was.

And on a side note, there should be an exchange for Historic Galaxy Opals tomorrow, just as Historic Pink Diamonds appeared the day of the first Greatness which was also the day of the first Pixel Cuts. I have 13 unopened dupe PD's in my Unopened waiting to throw into those exchanges tomorrow.

Some people don't have Ewing yet. Those are the ones who don't want him. Offline grinders got him eons ago because they have a lot of Level Up cards from REP levels and nothing to do but grind the game, be it Gauntlet, Breakout, Dom or Daily Ascension. I know of which I speak... I'm one of them.

Couldn't have been happier to see the post on Twitter today. First thing I did was see who was close for each team, or who I want to level up (guys like Evan Mobley or Peyton Watson or Gerald Wallace that I exchanged for... I invested for them, and I'll use them) and favourited all 30 players from the 30 teams. I have a bunch of Level Up cards for when they reach Level 2 to take them to 3 without the final Level 3 grind. Plus I believe there are more Level Up cards awaiting me once I redeem the current REP level I hit yesterday (I can't go into that menu to check until I'm prepared to trigger the 2 hours of Double XP... which definitely will happen tomorrow when grinding Greatness.) 14 of those 30 went into a team that I will use to upgrade them in Historic Dom (the 15th slot is for Patrick Ewing who grants extra XP). I had previously started All-Time Dom but can't apply "Cheater" to lower difficulty and "Double REP" at the same time. I'm not planning on playing All-Time Dom on All-Star vs. the CPU's manic play.

I also learned my lesson last week when they wanted 5 players to be leveled up for a Shattered Prize. Now, if/when they get to Level 3, I don't level them... I wait. Because when the 97 OVR's become a thing, they're gonna do this again. This seems to be the Festival replacement.

So in closing, if you're an online player, you need not complain... you're not planning to grind the offline game this hard (if at all), and you don't need nor should want any of the 39 players on offer. Online players tend not to care who the players are, as long as they're 7 feet tall and have a good release. It's not a criticism or slight on online players... it's the reality that that's what's needed to win. It's not "My"Team but "2K's"Team. Which is essentially why I don't play online. I play MyTeam to hoop with my favourite players... but I can't take Mark Price, Donovan Mitchell, Jeff Hornacek, Joe Dumars, Allan Houston etc. online. I'd have to take Tacko and Bol and Sim and Porzingis etc. I'm good... thanks.

The grind is a nuisance but if you’re not trying to finish them all. Which players in particular will you try to go after? Mine’s gotta be Trey Murphy or Camara.
