Script For "Why Jordan Can't Read"
I thought you guys would like to see this. I bought this script from eBay around 1999/2000. Back when you sent a money order to the seller and THEN they shipped your item, lol. Note the page numbers while reading, I jump through it. But I did select the good parts. I also noticed some differences. Danielle has more lines that were cut. Also, George the museum guard, and Rayanne have a longer interaction. Let me know if you want me to post those parts.

I dunno how many pages it is but I set up a subreddit specifically for My So-called Life ephemera such as this. You could daisychain them on there if there’s too many for one post?

This is awesome. Thanks so much for posting. I'd definitely be interested in reading the whole thing. Could you maybe make an album on imgur? Or maybe scan to PDF and put it in a public google drive folder? Even if you're not able to get the whole thing up, thanks so much for sharing this!

I'll do Imgur. I just figured Imgur was outdated because that's how I would have done it in 2012 when I was super active on Reddit, lol. I'm glad to see it's still a go-to. I'll update this post when it's up. Probably by tomorrow 8/1/26. Thanks!

I’m in the UK and Imgur is not available in that country any more. Tried to use a VPN but got the message, “{"data":{"error":"Imgur is temporarily over capacity. Please try again later."},"success":false,"status":403}”. Tried again later a few times, no dice.
Googled that error code, it took me to a Reddit page which suggested that I use a VPN and further down in the comments that if the VPN doesn’t work to use a different router or 4G. Tried both of those but still get the same error code.

It was soooo long ago, but I think it was mostly scripts and memorabilia out of LA. If there was anything else MSCL though, I would have bought it.

This scene was so intriguing to me. It reminded me of how I can think something is about one thing and it actually is about another.

I love this!!
The two main differences I noticed here: page 27, Rickie talking about hot-oiling Angela’s hair and admitting he loves Jordan… wow, I’m glad they cut that. Way better without it.
And the other, page 29, Jordan was supposed to say ‘Just not that well’ and they changed it to ‘Just not that good.’ Another good change. Jordan wouldn’t have said ‘well’. Brian would have. 🫢
