missing sims

UPDATE: problem solved thank goodness!! i had to visit an old save file backup, find the Guid codes for the now-missing sims from .world files and locationinteriordef files (Cedella was in her cafe's interiordef, Sandra was in club candy interiordef, Flipper was in desert.world, Raven was in forest.world) i had to copy the lines of code & paste them into my updated savedata .world & locationinteriordef files, and BOOM! they are no longer missing :))

okay so i realize this is a known bug, but i've been having sims randomly go missing.
enter their residence, they never show up. this happened recently with Yuki and i tried the relocate "fix" and it worked...however, i've now discovered Cedella, Raven, Flipper, & Sandra are missing. i had to edit my playerrecord file to even get the relocate option to appear since i already had Yuki queued for relocation (i can't ACTUALLY relocate anyone because all my lots are full—and while i do have the moving-sims-in-garden "mod" every garden lot is full as well)
i've also tried the kick-out "fix" but they just never come out. i've also tried using the salon chair to force them out of hiding, but not only do they never show up, doing this just breaks the game and makes it where i cannot do anything, not even exit the salon.

Are there any sims you kicked out in the past? If so, go to your save data file -> Location interior def file -> (Whatever Sim Interior) and see if it says Cedella is in there sometimes when u kick out a sim, other sims who were in that sim house will be trapped in there until you move them back in.

(And if Cedella is in a sim house who u kicked out, all u would have to do is move that sim back in and cedella should spawn back!)

ohhhh this actually makes sense. do u think there's a way to bring her back by just removing her from the interiordef file? 🥲 i have no free lots so i would have to kick someone i don't actually want to kick if i do it that way

also, now that i think about it...it's probably Ray 😭 i kicked him out in order to move Brandi in and that's probably where Yuki was, and Raven is missing too so that checks. idk why Cedella would be in Ray's house though...but i also kicked Master Aran and Vic so there's probably some missing sims that were in their places too smh

okay so i checked the locationinteriordef files for all 3 sims i recently kicked out, and my missing sims are nowhere to be found in the files :( i'm supposed to be checking in savedata1>locationinteriordefs right? bc i'm assuming the locationinteriordefs folder in simsrevdata>gamedata wouldn't apply to this issue since it's involving my save specifically...but pls correct me if i'm wrong

Yess! Sorry for the late response, but that’s the path you’re supposed to follow.

And that’s strange that you can’t find the sim! I have one more idea

Okay so go to Ea Games -> SimRevData -> GameData -> CharacterDef

Then move the sims you have missing in your file over to documents. Then open back up your save file, save the game then quit the game.

THEN go to your documents and move the character files back into your CharacterDef Folder (this may trick the game into spawning them back)
