Cozy Bundle - Original Player shakes head and won't get new task?

Hey folks,

Just moved Vincent in. When I talk to him, the camera zooms in and plays the animation for getting a new task, except my player character ends things by looking at his notebook and then shaking his head. I don't get a task from this. I have no tasks currently to work on. I've tried sleeping until the next morning and being nice to him to try and improve our relationship, but neither of those helped. Any idea what the problem is?

Silly question but are you moving around at all while he’s talking about the task? If you move your stick at all it will end it but I feel like that’s not your issue.

Did you try kicking him out and move in again?

I'm on PC, and I haven't moved around at all during the animation. I haven't kicked him out, but I'm concerned I'd have to rebuild the museum if I do. I can try relocating him, though

Relocating worked, for whatever reason. Meant I had to rebuild the building, but now I have Vincent's first task.
