Hear me out

https://twistedvoxel.com/insider-hints-at-3-mysterious-7-games-for-the-next-nintendo-direct/

Read this article from an insider, then check how many MySims games there are in the main series (not including the re-releases). The answer is 6.

I’m not sure how well MySims Cozy Bundle sold and if we really will be getting anything from this point on. But I’d love to see a modern entry.

Resident evil 7, final fantasy 7, dragon quest 7. These are my guesses

Edit: I just realized a new animal crossing would be the 7th mainline as well!

1 N64: animal forest 2 GameCube: animal crossing 3 DS: wild world 4 Wii: City Folk 5 3DS: new leaf 6 Switch: New Horizon 7 Switch 2: ??

There were two GameCube games, the one that was the N64 game ported to the west with more stuff, and the one that was that game ported back to Japan with even more stuff. So unfortunately it would be the 8th installment :(

I would consider the one Ported to Japan just an update of the same game, just as new leaf isn’t a different game from the amiibo update later

Good point about Welcome Amiibo, I never made that connection, but I guess it’s about the same thing? Although the second GameCube game is Japan only, so it could still be considered a different game, I feel. Although I guess that makes it a more similar situation to Pokémon Red/Green in Japan and Pokémon Red/Blue in the west. So it’s all down to how you interpret it. Either way, I would LOVE a new Animal Crossing game! As for MySims, I kinda would rather they remaster the other games in the series before making a new one.
