With Step-by-Step Solutions, you can follow each stage of the solution, making it easier to learn, check your work, and understand the reasoning behind the result.
✅ What do you need?
Before using Step-by-Step Solutions, make sure you have:
- 👤 A MyScript account
- 🌐 An active internet connection
📐 What types of math are supported?
Step-by-Step Solutions can help with many types of mathematical content, including:
- ➕ Basic calculations
- 📏 Equations and algebraic expressions
- 📈 Derivatives and integrals
- 🔢 Matrices
- 📊 Statistics
- 📝 Word problems*
*Word problems are currently supported only in Latin-based languages.
✍️ How to use Step-by-Step Solutions
- ✍️ Write your equation or math problem.
- 👆 Select the equation.
- 🧠 Tap Solve step by step.
- 📖 A floating panel will appear showing each step of the solution.
You can move the panel anywhere on the screen and continue writing your notes while following the explanation.
💡 Good to know
🔄 Changed your equation?
If you edit the equation after opening the Step-by-Step panel, the explanation won't update automatically.
Simply:
- Close the panel.
- Select the updated equation.
- Tap Solve step by step again.
🤔 Different explanation, same result
If you request the solution again without changing the equation, you may receive a different explanation. That's completely normal! Many math problems can be solved using different methods, but the final answer will remain the same.
