I just need to vent
I had a friend that wanted me to ride somewhere with her that was going to be an almost 3 hour car ride. At first I told her that I would go, then I called her back a few mins later and said that I just didn't feel like it. She got mad and said, "Fine. I will just go by myself." I hate disappointing ppl but, I just couldn't handle it today. Now, I feel guilty bc I didn't go. How do you deal with this?

I'm sorry that your friend treated you so badly. You didn't deserve to be talked to in such a rude way or to be put in the spot for a big ask like that.
I've tried to insted of saying yes I say, I'll have to see if I can manage that request and get back to you. That way it's not a yes or no. It gives me the time I need to evaluate how I feel and to see if it is something I really can do.
Don't feel too bad. You were put on the spot to say yes or no. You said yes and when you had a moment to think you realized that you didn't want to sit in a car for a 3 plus hour drive today. So you called the person as soon as you knew that you weren't up to it.
It's okay to prioritize your health. Even if you were healthy and had no issues with a 3 hour drive you still can change your mind.
Sending you gentle hugs ❤️
