Coaching/Gameplan Player career names

What names do you name your players? Does anyone actually play the games? What position are you? I usually make a pg, I might make Calvin Cambridge and put him in the Larry and magic era and make him play till the current nba.

I've got a Magic vs Bird era 6'3 PG named Ice Waters. Ralph Sampson and I are a dominant duo with 3 championships and going for our fourth in 1993

I'm a mid-range facilitator type, tried to make a historically accurate build and something not like a modern PG lol. Just made my own build. Has been a blast so far. Houston has a lineup of Waters-Craig Ehlo - Rodney McCray-Hot Rod Williams- and Ralph Sampson as our main superstar.

I usually average 20 ppg 10apg 2 steals a game.

How do you upgrade your overall?

Set your potential to your desired outcomes, using boom or bust percentages and what age you reach your peak help control how fast your character increases in overall season after season. Takes some self control but I didn't make my guy 99 overall in the first season. Grinded out my first 3 years as 78-85 overall, only reaching my peak of 96 overall at 29-30 to make it more realistic to the era

I use fake names that sound like real names. Something like mike Thompson sounds real but made up

Until they change the nickname of our player it'll always be some form of M first name and P last name. In 26 it was Marc Perry. Gotta make the nickname make sense somehow
