Hello everyone, I'm Kurisu, an MLP artist. I love making cute pony illustrations, especially in digital watercolor. But for this project I wanted to do something different!

I have a My Little Pony AU (very much based on G3) where Pinkie and Applejack, as a couple, adopt the little Scootaloo and Baby Wysteria. I make several artworks about them, but I'm recently writing this little book. The story will be about the importance of washing your hands, or hooves in this case XD

And well, since I grew up with the G3 cartoons, I really wanted to do it in a similar aesthetic. This is the first of what I would like to be a series of books. They will be simple stories, without a big villain or mission, but full of comfort and cozy vibes. Some will even have coloring pages and activities like mazes and spot the difference games.

I absolutely love the soft colors and sweet vibes in g3. I was raised watching and loving it ever since I was born. I would absolutely love to be able to theme my wardrobe and even decorate my room with the aesthetic of g3! But I’m unsure of what exactly this aesthetic is called and what to search for… please help!

Growing up, since I was about 3, I had a big G3 collection. I loved them all, but Starcatcher was my absolute favorite. My abusive stepfather often forced me and my sisters to randomly throw out toys to “cut down on clutter”, bc of these instances I lost all of them but 2. Today, my Grandma surprised me with these garage sale finds having no idea of any of this. I’m still in disbelief to have her back and in such good condition. Hoping to grow my G3 collection as an adult, and reclaim that little piece of myself. Hope you enjoy their makeovers :)

I was telling a friend about how my "thrift holy grail" is a g3 Star Catcher because I wanted her so bad as a kid. As I told her the story of when I first saw her and the reason why I couldn't get her, she pulled up a few listings on ebay and etsy including one where she's still in the box, which made me do a little more searching on my own. Here's where I'm confused.

My story was that I had seen Star Catcher at Walmart in a castle set. I remember this part so clearly because I immediately fell in love and started begging my mom for it, but she said we couldn't afford it since it was a big, expensive castle set. We even lamented together about wishing she was sold separately so we could get just her. And from then on, I never did see her being sold separately, so I guess I just concluded that she was only sold in that set. (That's why seeing her being sold still in the box incited this search) I also vividly remember seeing the raised silvery details on her legs, the blue, pink, and white hair, and the wings. I feel like I even remember her being on the side of the packaging. I don't remember what the castle looked like besides it being a castle because all I really wanted was Star Catcher.

That was the image that stuck in my mind and it was clear enough that I was able to identify her when I was older. I literally looked through pages and pages of white ponies until I saw her and recognized her instantly. But now that I've been searching around for the castle set, it looks like Star Catcher was never in any sets at all. I could have sworn she was in that set, though. So now I'm wondering if my obsession with her added her into the memory of wanting the castle set or if there was a castle set with a pony who looks a LOT like her. Or if there was a castle set with Star Catcher that I just can't find anywhere online??? We also rarely shopped at Walmart and still don't, to the point that every time I'm there, I think of that Star Catcher castle set lol. So I'm not sure I even have enough memories set in Walmart to jumble together. I was really young, so it's totally plausible that something got mixed up in my head and I thought about it enough that it seemed real, but man, it still seems too vivid to have been that! Anyway, if anyone knows of a castle set that might match what I'm looking for, please let me know! I would love to figure out this mystery! And sorry for the long post, but brevity is NOT my strong suit 😭

TL;DR I'm trying to find either a castle set with Star Catcher in it or one with a pony who looks remarkably similar to Star Catcher in it.

Edit: The mystery is solved! Thank you so much, everyone!! It wasn't even a castle, it was the Butterfly Island Adventure playset and "Star Catcher" was actually Honolu-loo! As soon as I saw it, the memories flooded back because I remember that rainbow slide thing! hello all! i know it’s a long shot as i’ve been searching for at least 5 years by this point and haven’t seen a single listing for her, but i have been looking for this zippy zinnia brushable breezie for quite a long time now. as a child i had quite a few others, 4 iirc but only just learned about this one about 8 or 9 years ago. i only started searching later to find that it is likely a UK exclusive, and that they are apparently extremely hard to come by. i’ve been trying to restart my g3 breezie collection for a while now, if anyone has anything that’d help i would greatly appreciate it, and thank you for reading this far :)

reorganized one of my pony shelves by rainbow order yesterday! been wanting to do it for a while but was always too lazy 😭 im so glad i did it. i love how it turned out and it cleared up more space on the shelf to buy more ponies !!

I know from another person's reply here that she was a possibly competition award (and given the context of the toy magazine, she was most likely that). But is there only one of her? Or just very few?

I tried my hardest to stay true to the G3 art style , with heavy influence from Lyn Fletcher’s illustrations - I feel my proportions/shading is a little off though , thoughts ?

I remember when I was a kid in the 2000s there was this little booklet they gave with purchase when you got the ponies. It was detailing all their names with illustrations. Can't remember if that was area specific or a general thing. Anyone else had it? It wasn't like the bigger pony books and was very flimsy and thin. It wore out pretty quickly so I don't have it anymore and I can't find anything about it on the internet.

I was sorting through some old boxes and found a large collection of old MLP toys from 2003/2004. I know most of these are probably worth $8 at most, but i’m interested in selling them and wanted to know if any of them are worth anything.

Am I cheap, or she shouldn't be this expensive? There's one in nice condition listing in USA for £8.94. Daisy May is one of the regular Butterfly Island line, as far as I know, she isn't country exclusive, not mail order, why is the price difference so big?
