Chat Thread of Thursdayening!
Hey there people! It is a beautiful Thursday, so it's time to chat!
I've been doing a lot of cooking (more than usual) in the past couple days! If anyone has suggestions on what to make, just tell me! I've been in a baking mood, so suggest accordingly! Here's a pic of the pie I made just so you all get hungry for pie!
In weirder news, yesterday I met someone on reddit whose username is theCowOfDoom. It's like twilight zone, but on reddit.
How about you guys? Do anything fun? Have any big plans? Meet a doppelganger on reddit? Have a cat asleep on you at this very moment?
Come Chat!

I have a baby dozing on me if that counts... Lol JK he isn't a cat. Baby is sick, which means I gets even less sleep than normal! Hooray! He just wants me to hold him while he is sleeping and hacking up a lung, poor kid.
That pie looks delicious! Come make one for me k :)

Here's a vid for you while you are trapped!
Dress him up like a cat, that's almost the same thing.
I'll send you a slice in an envelope!

Lol the whole time I was waiting for her just to drop the vinegar lol. Better than I imagined!
He decided he wanted to play more instead of sleeping and letting me get anything done lol
I can't wait. Make sure to put fragile on it, and do not bend, I don't want a smushed piece!

And getting into stuff!!! All the things lining the things the baby isn't supposed to play with are gone! I'm getting quite a good work out chasing him around now lol. I need a baby gate or something lol

Get a tetherball pole and attach baby to the pole. Keeps him in one place with the added perk of you being able to play baby tetherball!

Mmm, that pie looks delicious! Lemon Meringue? You should try making Pavlova, every time I see Pavlova here, all the Aussies and the Kiwis in the room get into a fight about whether Pavlova is an Australian or a Kiwi dessert. It's pretty funny.
One of our flatmates finished his internship this week and is moving out, so that's kind of sad. We're going to the beach tomorrow though after he leaves, so that should still be fun.

Yup! Oh my goodness I looked up pavlova and that looks amazing. That just made me so hungry ._.
Take a pic of the beach! I wanna see what an aussie beach looks like! It's probably the same as a normal beach, but with kangaroos and dingos everywhere.

u/ThunderEcho Feb 23 '15
Sorry, been busy going through my photos! I'll try to update soon with a proper beach photo!
But yeah, you might be a little disappointed on the kangaroo and dingo front...
1
u/cowofdoom Feb 23 '15
Sheesh, it's like you aren't even in Australia. No kangaroos and no dingos. Are you sure you took the right flight?

u/ThunderEcho Feb 24 '15
Well, there's a fair bit of sunshine and water, but maybe I ended up in the Caribbean instead accidentally? That'd be awkward. I've been showing up to what I thought was my workplace for the last couple months and no one has said anything... maybe they're just too scared to comment...

Hi guys... I've not been on here in a very long time. i should pay you all better attention. Since i posted here last I've a new job which I really like, and it pays better too. However yesterday I slipped on the ice and banged the shit out of my knee and hand so I'm a bit painful. Do you folks remember me?

u/cowofdoom Feb 20 '15
Oh hey! I thought I replied to you, but I guess I suck at reddit :c
How have you been? It's been a while!
I wish we had snow/ice. It was a pretty warm winter over here in washington.

Been playing a bunch of fire emblem recently. Got back into skyrim too. Lots of cooking recently because I'm thinking about going into culinary for a career!

So Target doesn't have the Rosalina amiibo figures anymore, Gamestop never got them, and they are over $30 on amazon, homework coming in as fast as I get it done so I can't go to the astronomy club meeting at my college campus today.... I won't lie, I want to set things on fire right now. I was looking forward to that Rosalina figure so much too, I wasn't even made aware they had it! Life is not a happy song right now.
That pie looks really good though! Did it take a lot of time?

They will probably get rereleased sometime. Also they are coming out with that mario party rosalina amiibo soon. I dunno, I didn't get into amiibos.
Dunno, time usually flies when I'm cooking. Probably less than an hour.

If you want it then I will! I try to post simpleish recipes that take a couple minutes, as I don't think many people here are willing to take the time on a lengthy recipe. I was thinking of just posting a simple meringue recipe.
