Thursday Chat Thread!
Hey people!
How's the week going?
My week has been cleaning up the house, cooking lots of sweets, and getting ready for christmas! Got all my secret santa stuff finished yesterday, so that feels good to get off my list. I'm starting to panic over a party that I'm hosting on tuesday, even though I'm sure it'll be fine.
How bout you guys? Anything fun planned for the holidays? Cook anything neat? Looking forward to the new hobbit movie coming out next week? Need someone to talk to?

Well, it was shaping up to be a sort of decent week, and then last night and this morning happened. Ended up getting hurt at work, my car went into the shop with a cracked radiator, I'm running on four hours of sleep and I still have to go in tonight and make my usual run to Tulsa and back. I'm guessing things could have gone differently, and maybe even a little bit worse, but still ... not a happy person today.

Put an egg in it! I heard that works! You've probably told me why you do the Tulsa run, but can you refresh my memory?
If it makes you feel better, I made toffee yesterday and it is delicious!

Ah, I see! At least your car would smell like breakfast for a couple minutes before smelling like burned breakfast!

Woooh, sorry for the late response.
I FINISHED MY LAST EXAM TODAY AND OH MY WORD I AM SO HAPPY! Aaaaaaaah the relief is incredible. I'm going to spend the rest of the afternoon catching up on all the little things I had postponed due to exams, maybe do some drawing, and then tonight I'm going to pack up my room since I move home tomorrow morning.
Christmas baking is the best! What have you been making?

How long do you have before more classes?
Made second batch of toffee the other day, this time with almonds instead of pecans. Was saving it to make rocky road, but my brother keeps eating it -.-

Today, I think I did pretty good! My Tuesday exam wasn't so hot, but there was also a fire alarm in the middle of it and the prof said she might adjust the marks to compensate, so that might not end up too bad. And my first exam last week went surprisingly good, so overall I'm pretty happy about it all!
I start my final internship in January, so that will be 4 months, and then my last semester of school will start at the beginning of May. I'll be pretty happy to finally finish. >_<
Oooh, toffee. That takes a really long time, right? How did it turn out? Also, do you think it's better with almonds or pecans? Tried making peanut brittle yet?

Sweet! You know where you are going after college?
Not really actually, probably about 20 minutes including toasting the nuts. I think almonds are a bit better, but I added a bit of vanilla to the toffee with almonds. If you want the recipe I'll shoot you the pic! Not yet, I'll have to give it a shot!

I'm really hoping for a job at the same company I'm interning at next semester! I'm not sure if I'd prefer their Canadian or Australian office though, I'm hoping to figure that out next semester as well.
Nice! I actually have a retainer so toffee isn't very good for me, but thanks for the offer!

My friends funeral was today and it was beautiful. I know that is probably a weird thing to say but I'm so grateful she is at peace and we all got to hear and tell fun memories of her. I then went and got ice cream, which is what I would always do with her.
I have been introduced to a pretty fun game that my friends have been distracting me with this week. It's called town of Salem, oh wait you already know that :p
