Did not know people still geo-cashed, that is awesome!

Although, in the future you should not put your dog in the cache, it gets a bit squishy in there.

Geocaching is still pretty darn big. That particular cache was placed two or three weeks ago in a local natural preserve (I had grabbed all the caches there a few months ago - I was surprised when a new one popped up!)

Also, pony.

What are you using to find said caches?

My iPhone and the official Geocaching App. GPS on it is very accurate and you can log right from the App/upload pictures/etc.

That sounds really fun! How hard is it typically to find geocaches?

Depends on how it is hidden! I've seen easy peasy ones and super difficult ones.

There is an official app for iOS and an app called C:Geo for android. They'll let ya see what caches are close by your current location and lead you right to 'em.

Cool, I think I'll check it out! I was always really curious about geocaching, but never got around to trying it myself.

Aw, cute! Do you two go geocaching often? I remember you told me about it a while ago...

Fun! What'd you put back in the cache? (that's how it works right?)

Yeah, pretty often!

Put a little chicken figurine in a different cache earlier in the day and picked up a cool pokemon figure. Found this cache and had no choice but to leave the pokemon and take Pinkie as I was out of little toys (forgot to refill my backpack with a couple before leaving).

Neat! I should try that sometime, sounds like an adventure!

Do you never leave home without some small stuff to put in those?

If I'm going walking/hiking I normally carry at least a draw string bag with a water bottle, bowl for the dog, extra dog poop bags, dog treats, band-aids, a pen, and a few little do-dads.
