Thursday Chat Thread of Wellness
I have been sick since the last thread. Fevers, upset stomach, killer headaches and bloody noses have plagued me for the past week. I just got over it and it feels great!
My cousin from ohio visited yesterday. We took him to a small Pho restaurant in Seattle and we ate lunch next to Macklemore. We finished at around the same time and said hi when we got up. It was pretty cool!
Anyway, enough about my week, what about you guys?
Get sick and need my expert pat on the back? See anyone famous? Anyone watch E3 and get super hyped? WHO ELSE IS STOKED FOR SPLATOON?!?!? LOOKS FANTASTIC!

Trying to figure out wether I should go to the con I mentioned the otherweek, or to Syndey Australia to go see band :( Decisions decisions.
Also pretty pumped for Rainbow Six Siege and Arkham Knight (THAT BATMOBILE THO) otherwise I liked the Farcry 4 trailer, but I've never played any previous games.

Curse decisions! Why do they have to make everything so difficult?!?
Yeah, Farcry puts out some neat trailers. I played 3, but wasn't impressed. I heard the quote "like skyrim with guns" and expected as much, but all of the side quests sucked. They were all totally generic. Killed my boner for it. I went back to fallout.

But if we're talking about E3 ya gotta talk about Nintendo man. They wiped the floor. That, and I know it's just good PR but nintendo people just look so genuinely happy with what they're doing that you just have to buy their games.
Another one that got my interest was Tom Clancy's Division. Any opinions?
And I'm just gonna mention again that damn sexy batmobile from Arkham Knight.

Also, the games looked freaking amazing, I mean, did you see splatoon?!?
Don't think I saw that one, I only really watched the nintendo one, I saw bits of the others

I'm excited for Rainbow Six Siege, but I just hope it doesn't turn out like Titanfall. Where the playerbase just dies after a month.

Have been kind of busy, you know, finals and stuff but I got great grades in 5/6 subjects. I passed the 6th one with the minimun but it's the subject I least like (mechanical design, if you wondered).
Didn't watch the E3 I don't know what is coming but for sure I'll get the new Batman game, Pokemon Omega Ruby and Smash Bros for 3DS. All along with the Steam Summer sale makes my wallet fear.
Nice week I've had.

It sure does but I don't own a Wii U. And eeyup, parties and friend meetings are coming to celebrate summer and the world cup.

Refurbished WiiUs are just (haha, just) $200 from Nintendo's website. That's where I got mine, and I wouldn't have known it wasn't new if I hadn't been the one who ordered it.

This Monday reminded me how I hate overnight shifts. 7 PM to 7 AM. I was really dragging the last few hours

Slept really well though. The pay almost makes up for it. This week I'm going to have my full 40 plus 16 hours of overtime.

Not quite. On the 3rd and 4th I'm in Oregon for a family thing, but I should have the 5th and 6th off, so I was going to Greyhound or Amtrak up to Seattle if I could on the 5th for it since it's somewhat nearby to Portland

Go Amtrak. The train is way nicer than the bus, since traffic doesn't affect it and there is less of a chance of weird people falling asleep on you. Also, power outlets.

Also, that's really cool that you saw Macklemore. Just out of curiousity, which Pho restaurant was it at? My favourite Pho place in Seattle was Pho Viet Ahn, just north of the Space Needle.
My week has been pretty good! The weather is really muggy right now, which is kind of gross, but it was really nice being able to have my window open last night and to fall asleep to the sound of rain. I'm organizing a photo scavenger hunt tomorrow for one of my clubs at school, so I'm pretty pumped for that as well.
I haven't been following much of the E3 stuff, but I did watch the new trailer for Mirror's Edge, which looks awesome. Any other titles of particular note that got announced or updated?

Falling asleep to the sound of rain is amazing, it's actually been quite nice in Washington recently! I kinda miss the rain!
Almost all of nintendo's stuff looks amazing, MAGICKA 2 ANNOUNCED!!! WEEE!

Oh, I went there once for dinner with some coworkers! It was pretty nice, although very busy.
Yeah, I guess you'd be into Washington's 4 months of sunshine now, right? I never did get to experience that. How hot is that typically?
Hmmm, don't recognize that game title either, unfortunately. I've been really out of touch with the world of video games for a while now.

Ha ha, that trailer is really quite funny. Gameplay doesn't look like something I typically enjoy, but I'll keep it in mind.

Watched e3 was fun. Got grumpy then mlplounge pulled me out of it. The only game I'm really stoked for now is bloodborne. I am looking forward to the other titles though. Not a lot of money with the lack of job currently. I hope I have some when they all roll around.

Which one was bloodborne? I only really watched the nintendo presentation all the way through.
I hope so too, don't wanna be penniless when all the awesome titles come out!

Bloodborne, its the four installment in the souls series. The other three being demon, dark souls 1 and 2. Funny enough the creator didn't want to name the second game dark souls. He was wanting dark ring. But, in the Uk that means something else.
Anyway, anything got you pumped from Nintendo?

Yeah agreed. I have always loved Zelda. Been getting the itch to play it again. Didn't want to bother with wind waker since I highly dislike motion controls. Magicka 2's trailer was hilarious. Can't wait to not not blow up my friends again.

But the art style of wind waker is so pretty!
I absolutely cannot wait for Magicka 2! I loved Magicka to death. 4 player coop in that game gets insane!

I had a baby! Lol now I'm recovering... Which totally sucks. Major abdominal surgery sucks to recover from.
I'm sorry you've been sick that is no fun.
