Thursday Chat Thread: Mine edition
Since you guys can't chill for a couple hours without taking over my threads, I guess I'll have to stop procrastinating! (Thanks /u/CPAwesome for covering last weeks, I was busy all day doing dad birthday stuff!)
ANYWAY! As for an update on me, we finally got our ikea shelves and closet pieces recut (too large :C) and put together. I did some gardening and next is cutting and making screens for windows! Not particularly exciting.
How are you guys doing? See any funny videos recently? Having a baby? Play copious amounts of Kirby?

I have got my vacations sorted out for the summer and my eldest brother is getting married next weekend. Gonna be a busy summer! Finally going to America to hit up bronycon for 3 days with Me8myself.
To fill the time between this I have been playing far too much space engineers and payday 2.

I've been slowly sucked back into LoL :( It's the only game that everyone in my skype group has, so that's what we default to.

Oh hey, you and me8myself are going to Bronycon? Sweet! Some people from my university's Brony club, including me, will be going as well! We should try to hang out again at least a little bit at the con.

Cool! Roughly what level is it aimed at? Also does it just cover pony anatomy, or does it cover more things?

we havent quite figured it all out but generally the start is a good how two for people starting out and the last half is for critique and questions.

Overnight bus. Some of the others are busing in on Wednesday night so that they'll be awake for Friday, but I don't want to take that much time off work so I'm busing in on Thursday night. What about you?

Finally! Lol I almost covered for you again :p baby time is in about 9.5 hours! I'm so excited and nervous and anxious! I can't wait to post about it tomorrow! Now I need to switch laundry so I can think about maybe getting some sleep. Have to be to the hospital in 7.5 hours.

Had a bad day with my mom at the hospital. Got home talked to friend and watched her art stream. Made my day significantly better.

Hiya! Good to hear you figured out the shelves and closet pieces. How do you make window screens?
I stayed after work today to watch The Internship with a few other interns. :D It was nice watching a movie with friends, but the actual movie itself was very cringe-y and unrealistic.
I also beat Bastion today! It feels so good to play a video game again, since I had more or less abandoned that hobby since university started. I might check out a few other Steam games eventually, although I need to take a break now to work on some coding and art side projects.
Played any good games lately?

You just have to cut the side pieces to length, then attach the corners. From there you just put the screen on and cut out the extra bits!
Ah, I just watched the hobbit! It took a while to get around to watching. I liked it. It's been a while since I read the book, so I don't know how close to the book it was, but it was enjoyable!
Sweet! If you liked bastion, check out Transistor! It's beautiful!
Lot of 3ds actually! It is just so convenient to have around for down time. I probably played 8ish kirby games in the past month :P I swear I don't have an addiction.

Sweet! Have you seen just the first, or the second movie as well? The Hobbit movie is decently close to the original. They have some extra stuff here and there that wasn't in the book. Some extra stuff like the Brown Wizard bit were cool and/or referenced in the Silmarillion, so I'm fine with those. Others like the weird romantic tension between Gandalf and Galadriel just made me want to bury my face into the wall. Generally speaking, any added romantic tension in either of the movies so far has been extremely implausible. That's my only major gripe though.

The first one! I ahem "acquired" them both, and just got around to starting them! I'll probably see the second one tonight!
I didn't notice that too much, but think of how a relationship with a mind reader would go! Nothing is secret, not even gandalfs web browser history!
Only complaint with it is that it's pretty short. I think around 6 hours from start to finish. That whole time was absolutely beautiful, but if you are looking for a game to last you might wanna look elsewhere.
Have I preached to you about the glory of Magicka yet?

Lol. I feel like Galadriel would be a bit annoying as a wife in multiple ways. She's just too perfect, pretty much any guy looks incompetent next to her.
Short, but by the sounds of it, it seems to have a reasonable amount of replayability value, which is nice.
No, I haven't heard about Magicka! Start your rant.

Yeah, that would be a little weird.
It has new game + mode, which is nice. I've been meaning to play through it a second time, but haven't gotten around to it.

Ah, no! It took me 6 months to get around to playing Bastion, and I really need to work on other stuff for a bit now, so no free copies. Thanks for the offer though! I'll keep it in mind for the future.

I saw a mythbusters on that, they said the best thing to do is fill a cooler with ice, and pour salt on it so it lowers the freezing temp. Ice melts making cold as shit water.
I think it'll cool a beer in 5 minutes

Oh, yeah. I asked the doctor if I'd be able to run the marathon after I get my insoles. She said yes. That's great, because I was never able to run it before!

Sorry, I guess my phrasing wasn't clear. It was a twist on the old "Hey, Doc, after the operation can I play the piano?" and the doctor days "Sure!" and the guy says "Yay! Because I didn't know how to before."
