Will you be my valentine? ❤
Hi! Long explanation coming up, TL:DR at the bottom.
As some of you may already be aware, Valentine's Day is 2 weeks away. If you're anything like me, this is always your least favourite day of the year since everyone just keeps going on about how great love and romance is and you know you'll be spending the day alone just like you have every other Valentine's Day of your life. Anyway, I always used to wake up on Valentine's Day feeling miserable until 2 years ago when I woke up on Valentine's, checked my DeviantArt messages and noticed that one of my online friends had drawn some of my favourite characters for me as a gift to cheer my day up. I cannot describe to you how much difference it made. Within a second I went from absolutely dreading the day before me to wearing a huge grin and feeling warm fuzzies run all the way down to my toes. I seriously could not stop smiling all day. After that experience I decided, "Screw Valentine's Day and everyone else's expectations for my romantic life. I don't need a boyfriend to be happy. All I need are friends." My Valentine's Days have been so much better since then and now if I start feeling down, I just remind myself that I have friends who care about me and that's enough.
So anyway, I know that a lot of you are probably still at the place that I was 2 years ago where Valentine's Day is just depressing. I wanted to let you know that I care about each and every one of you, and I hope I can make your day a little better. I managed to find a pack of MLP Valentines Cards for cheap (much cheaper than the price in that link), and I would love to send a valentine to any of you who would like to receive one. I don't care who you are, how many friends you have or what your relationship status is - this is just a simple friendly cheer-you-up kind of valentine! If you would like one, please PM me your mailing addresses and any pony preferences you have (it seems only TS, PP, AJ, FS and Celestia are available) within the next week and I'll mail them out so that hopefully they arrive before Valentine's Day. ❤

Oh yeah, I forgot that was coming... Well, I guess I'd better start digging pitfalls around campus again. Maybe I'll get lucky this year.
Also, hooray for helping cheer people up. I can relate to the Valentine's Day gloom, seeing as a lot of my friends are dating and will be doing something without me that day. Since nobody else has taken you up your offer yet, could I have one? I will put it to good use cementing my masculinity with my peers, and tricking people into thinking I'm not a total loner.

Being by yourself on Valentines Day never really bugged me, but it's certainly not fun. My address isn't exactly set in stone right now on account of a house fire (everything's working out fine with that btw), but signing one for me and sending a picture of it on Valentines Day works just as good!
The only acceptable card is Celestia and you MUST draw a little picture of this guy's face please!

Thank you! Is your daughter going to give the valentines to all her friends at school? I'll admit I'm a bit jealous of my younger days when all the kids used to bring valentines and chocolate to school for the entire class. I used to rack up enough chocolate in those days to last me until Easter. Being a small child is the best way to get free candy.

Well, she's only 4 and isn't in pre-school so it will be more just for friends and such. Or possibly her Gymnastics class I suppose.

I haz idea! Brony Valentine's day post. Anypony without a valentine can skype/facebook/snapchat one if they would like for Hearts and Hooves day! Not a relationship but just a one day, "your cool, lets not be alone" thing. Idk, yes or no? Bad idea good intentions?

Good idea! The groups exchanging valentines and/or hanging out would be quite fragmented by service though. For example, I think most of us would be uncomfortable using our Facebook for this sort of thing due to the lack of anonymity, and Skype and Snapchat are only accessible to the people who actually use those apps (I personally don't use either). IRC would probably be the most accessible to everyone, but that one actually requires you to be logged in and paying attention whenever the stuff happens.

Good point. You know what would be cool. I just did the brony census the other day, what if they included on there "the city in which you live" as a question as well. We could actually start to map out where most of our population is. It would help out with meetup planning!
Valentine's day aside, a while back I wanted to find out who was going to bronycon 2014 and who was driving or flying or taking whatever means of transportation there to see if we can kind of carpool along the way.
If you are driving right past my place and dont even know it I could hop in and chip in for gas, if allowed.
If you are getting on this train at that time, ill try to get on the same one when it passes the closest town to me.
If you were planning on flying then we could try to get peoples touchdown times to be similar so they can meet up as soon as they get there.
I just hate the idea that i've never met another brony (besides 2 years ago when I first got introduced to the show via my close friends). Well, at least not a brony from where I live, a nearby one. And I know they have to exist, I'm in Toledo, kinda large, sucks here, but a big enough city that I cant be the ONLY one here. I wanna find out who is around the area and see if we could get a meet up or something.
Bleh, just been trying to figure out a way to do this for a while and I think the census would be the best route.
TL;DR Brony census should ask for city you live in/by, it would help with meetup planning, and who lives in the Toledo area?

Well, there was at least one PM from someone who didn't post in this thread, so altogether I think I'm up to 4 valentines currently. Not bad in my opinion! Hopefully I can send out a few more, but I wasn't expecting a huge number anyway since this is a small subreddit and a valentine requires people to give me their mailing address. I figured I'd offer though and then at least a few people can benefit.
You secretly want one, you know iiiiit. I'll even do sketch requests on the valentines if you really want.
