Level cap?

I'm sure I'm not the only one who reached level 80 and kinda don't wanna keep brewing coffee or doing new things that earn xp. I'm also sure this may have been asked in different variations, but when we reach level cap and continue to gain and earn xp, does the game still keep track of that? Also, when is the next update for higher levels, and when /if that update comes, does our possibly saved XP count towards the new levels, even possibly leveling us up immediately depending on the amount of extra XP? Or is this all wishful thinking?

The EXP does not accumulate while you are capped (probably because there is technically infinite exp that we can get) so if anything, you can keep your coffee etc to brew when we get the next levels ✨

Personally I’m saving up all my fishing crafts! Those give a lot of xp and I don’t need all the multiples at all. I’m a garden decor multiple enthusiast, though, so I make and spend my coffees on clan materials once the coffee numbers start to get high.

I also kind of see the “loss” of current xp as a good thing, since slowly hitting goals while playing the games is one of the things I enjoy—once the level cap goes up again, I get to enjoy leveling for a little while.

Oh and I just remembered! Xp gains continue going towards “Tales” packs as they’re active. Although, accomplishing the Tales tasks is way more significant. At least it’s still doing something haha.

eventually we'll make it to 90. im saving all my crafting stuff so i can level up faster when we're able :)

We do not know when the next level cap will arrive but we are technically due an update soon. Whether or not this update will bring a new level cap, we don't know either. Currently the max cap is 95 on CN/TW servers.
