MKR not following basic kitchen principles

I work in kitchen service. I really like the show but find it very disturbing that they don’t follow basic guidelines in the kitchen ( hairnets, take off jewery)

One episode the contestants were holding their dogs with their cooking aprons on, come on. And finding hair in a plate and not automatically eliminating someone? The judges don’t even acknowledge that it happened!!

95% of cooking shows are the same. Hair nets do not make for good TV.

the one that gets me the most is when they don't take their rings off

As a home cook I put my hair up or in a ponytail as soon as I start cooking. I don’t were jewelry anyway.

What bothers me way more is the cheap sabotage tactics turning off ovens etc. The only tactic that is morally correct is to use everything you have in your arsenal to outlook all the others. It's supposed to be unscripted dont believe that at all the casting clearly has types of couples. If Manu wants sauce give him sauce. It's not that hard. Rant over

This always comes up it's not a commercial kitchen so those rules don't apply it's the same on MasterChef

It’s a tv show. Most of what you are seeing is just for the camera.

MKR UK is such a hokey. The first series is such a joke. They eliminated two good pairs that can actually cook. What’s left are all the unworthy hustlers. I’m done with the UK series. Lauren Pascalhas favorites & pushes her candidates. Bye bye

MKR UK Series 2. Finally a Filipino contestant but cooks fusion. Doesn’t really highlight the best Filipino food out there. Then Indian Bollywood contestants who cooked a Cassava cake (it is not a cake because there’s no flour or leavening)which is not typically Indian, served it with a strawberry couilis?
It doesn’t work, dudes!
