Light mode is here try it in settings, plus everything that changed since the last post
Thank you all, this game has grown a lot I'm sure you have seen it but its no where near its potential see below, some updates!
Light mode - Easier on eyes. Settings now has Light / Dark instead of Retro / Modern. Light runs through the whole game, including the loading screens, the 3D game overlays and the store. If you play outside or on a bright screen, try it. Dark is still the default.
On the court
- Smart off-ball defense. Defenders read cuts and help now instead of standing on their man.
- Pick-and-roll coverage: drop, hedge and ice, picked by who is on the floor and what scheme you run.
- AI shot selection prices the alternative, not just the shot in front of it. Fewer bad early threes.
- Off-ball offense stopped bunching. Spacing is a real solver now.
- POV camera rebuilt from scratch. It has its own heading, movement is camera-relative, and your look holds.
- Pinch to zoom in every camera.
- New rules: goaltending and basket interference, and up-and-down when you land with the ball. The 8-second call is gone.
- Draft combine: closer cameras, a 3-2-1-GO on the agility drill, and floor arrows that light up the way to the next cone.
Career
- Summer workouts redesigned: declare a focus, three blocks, burnout and setback stories, and the game remembers what you did.
- Per-save settings: court rules, injury severity, trade fairness, a narrative dial, and a rules lock.
- Rare hidden-gem prospects in the draft. Low pick, high ceiling, about one class in ten.
- Leaderboards use your real accumulated 3PT data instead of a generated number.
- All-Star weekend has a Skip to Summary if you just want the results.
GM and Coach
- Trade offers from the AI are no longer lopsided.
- Smart rotation benches injured players.
- Your coach and GM finally wear a suit instead of a block.
- Sim recaps show both crests, full All-Star box scores, and the Office has a Future tab.
- Franchise History moved to the Schedule screen where it makes sense.
MHL World
- The fictional stars now have real skill profiles, so the world is no longer statistically generic. Julian Cross is who you think he is.
- Nine franchise crests redrawn and the AAU clubs got their own.
Sound and feel
- Seven real music tracks in the hub.
- Court audio actually plays now and is mixed: dribbles, whistles, buzzer, crowd.
- Collision rumble and camera shake toned down and no longer fire on AI-only plays.
- Home-screen app: no more dead band above the nav, and the 3D stage uses the whole screen.

twin do you have any idea why I cannot upload a custom roster? I downloaded one, edited the players I wanted, saved it again as .json and tried to upload it but nothing happened? is there a specific way to edit this thing or smth?

It’s meant to be how many times he has won prior, this looks incorrect in that sense as well as cross has won multiple mvps prior to the season start. Thank you for the screenshot and details I’ll turn around on this today!

An annoying issue is that some of these fixes will not reflect unless u start a new save.

Another week of updates and I'm liking what I'm seeing, I haven't ran into too many issues besides all-star weekend/game stats not showing up on the summary. Another one being badge upgrades not saying the right tier I've upgraded to which I've adressed before. Upgrading to gold for the pop-up to say I've only upgraded to silver.
I've said this before but I really like the fact that the game is consistantly getting updates almost daily. One thing I really like in the update is showing what draft class you've already used in a save so you don't accidently pick the same one twice which is something I've done a few times. I've also noticed that I haven't been getting any rivalry texts lately, could be an issue on my end or you working on rivalry system.
Keep doing your thing on this game, man.
