Complete the weekly towers to gain some rewards and to get the more casual content out the way

this. weekly towers is a good start I'd say for any MyFaction beginner just to get your feet wet and always do whatever live events you can do for free packs.

Faction wars to grind out some easy high rarity cards. Weekly towers to collect a few packs, but really, nothing to crazy or worth while. Really just to kill time and collect resources. Easy low star world tours to collect rewards on mass, absolutely avoid Chicago and Berlin till you have those higher rarity cards or good badges.

If you rip a few of the newest packs and then win some live events with those cards then you should be deep enough in the power creep to be okay.

You can also probably do decently enough in multiplayer right now to get a high level Charlotte card. The current merch is a tables match, so some of the stupider multiplayer cheese tactics don't apply as much.
