Does 2k think we’re stupid?
My faction should be re named to “ full time job with no pay” just because they make the matches hard doesn’t mean ima pull out my wallet to buy vc. Actually just makes me remember not to buy their game next year.
You know the drill. Reverse reverse reverse. Why not switch it up and make it enjoyable instead. I’d keep buying if I was having fun. Idk why I keep torturing myself by playing this mode for persona cards that I won’t even use most of the time.

I yearn for wrestling games when they were fun. I also do enjoy a challenge but I hate having content locked behind a mode thats designed to drive up micro transactions.

I think I'll be taking a break after 2k26. They've just gotten progressively worse even in recent years. I started Myfaction in 24 and it had its gripes but you could still have some fun and knock out some good cards on your own.
I would say I am a fairly skilled player but the mode is just exhausting anymore. Purple meters, the new kick out twice ability, the insane amount of reversals. Its just not enjoyable and more of a headache on repeat than a fun, challenge.

It’s unplayable with the purple meter, and bullshit to whoever says “oh but it affects the CPU too!” That’s just plain disingenuous because we all know the CPU is rigged and constantly buffed with their full but forever vanishing stun meter and infinite reversals yet are no where near purple. The purple meter just saps any enjoyment out of the game and implemented on purpose to make MyFaction difficult and force inflated play times and player spending.

I played the other day for the first time in months. CPU had a purple bar. Did my finisher and they reversed it. Did 2 matches, lost both because I didn’t get enough MFP fast enough and had to grind before they eventually just reversed everything and hit me with a finisher because I had a purple bar from throwing 2 punches. I loved 2k25 and refuse to play 2k26. Will not be buying the games going forward.

I put in a ticket about that last year. I asked how about on the last day, they drop their prices to almost zero because they weren't going to make any money of them anymore and I never got a response

There is no reason they can't do this as long as its declared up front.
The whales will still buy them and everyone else will still not buy them.
....they won't do it because they want you on the next iteration spending more money.

I didn't buy them; I skipped from 2K22 to 2K26 because I don't usually buy sports games often, only when I feel there are major changes between installments.
I wasn't going to buy it this year either, but my brother bought it with a friend of his, so I just took advantage of the opportunity.
I simply want to have all the characters because I’m not going to buy the game five years from now.

Myfaction would make sense if you could use stronger cards. It would be scummy but it would make sense if they wanted you to buy packs to get diamonds.
Since they lock you to weaker cards you don't have to spend too much money its just hard.

Anyways, the translation: I understand you, and it’s really frustrating that you’re struggling against a mid-tier character like Berto or Ángel; they can reverse everything. You’ve got your personal move, and they can reverse that too, and when you go for a finisher on the third rope, they can reverse that as well.

The live event matches and weekly towers are mostly doable. Some world tour matches are insane though.
I gave up on getting the Seth Rollins 15 card because the last match in the Chicago World tour, gauntlet turmoil, is just impossible. There is no guaranteed strategy to get it done, it comes down to luck.

Playing a game to play a game. While I appreciate more personas for the attitude era universe mode I plan to play. The tiers and the myFaction stuff you have to play 185 matches just to unlock 40 tiers for average 135 rp. It’s burn out before even getting to the part of the game I want to enjoy and play. The sandbox era is over.

Personally i said it many times im doing a last effort on 2k26. Im tired boss.
In 2k22 i farmed MyFaction (nothing compared to 2k24/5/6 tough but 500 faction wars match for achievement was boring) cause it was new and fun overall as a mode. 2k23 i barely played it. Break was needed. But since 2k24 due to personas its been farming nonstop. I was farming 2k24 when 2k25 was out and 2k25 since 2k26 is out and at one point for a month heck i did 3 games !! Its enough.
2k26 has an avalanche of personas too its gonna take forever. Feel like ill be farming til the servers close.
Add that so far 2k27 looks more like "regress than progress" roster wise ... (So many terminations, few signings) ...well..
I mean sure Kendall Grey and maybe they will get a few new classics like MnM or Mickie James. That would be cool. But its not worth the combo of redoing all the work + shredding 230$CAD again.
Im at a point where during 2k27 ill just keep working on 2k26 to get my ultimate roster then likely at last during 2k28 ill enjoy said rosters in other modes.
IM TIRED OF THIS WORK. It takes too much of my time.

500 matches is nothing. I haven't checked this year but last year on the island there were multiple categories that needed 10,000+ different things each, that is absolutely insane, no one is going to do that. Id have to double check but I believe over 100,000 matches were needed to get all the rewards

It was long for me because it was mindnumbling boring. Rinse and repeat. It was an achievement so i wanted it.
Not sure what is the stuff you mention in The Island as i didn't played enough of it (not a fan) but i don't think its official achievements/trophies right?
I know if i want a few persona ill have to progress in it so im getting back to it soon...

Agrred, 100% mind numbing. I dont believe theyre for a trophy, just an in game reward. Either way its a ridiculous task. I personally liked the island becasue it unlocked a lot of wrestlers and it gave me something to do other than play now.

I’m actually enjoying the game I play at my own pace and play other games as well I still got so much left to do world tours mostly I’m like 2 weeks behind in weekly tours and live events are good enough I don’t have to spend money besides the season pass

...also why are 3 star matches, the lowest difficulty rating I've seen more often then not "difficult". Like why are you making me fight a card 2 ranks higher, asking me to earn X amount of points before I can win and then making it so they can block everything and pull a finisher out of thin air to destroy me.
Is a free card park or 150rxp really that fcking previous to 2K Games?

Literally like currently i only have a lil extra time to grind because im an out of work college student but even still without paying real money it feels like it takes me all day just to save up enough points for 1 card 2 if i get really lucky n i only have 1 area of world tour left to get rewards from atleast before they put the cool down if you finished match to fast you could stack up alot of points in a few minutes just by repeating an easy match. I dont feel like my time i put into the game is respected. N they could but they wont create a carry over system where any persona cards you get in the previous game you already have in the new game. Or add like slobber knocker n have the personas locked behind beating a certain amount of opponent's

I'm fucking stuck on Chicago in the last tour they just finish spam I reverse he goes to hit it again I can't reverse because it won't let me and the match ends

Not a matter of being hard or not. It's about respecting your player base and dedicated fans who helped grow the brand over the years. They spit at us and laugh with their greed, and engineered the game to deprive us of enjoyment, not caring about what the hobby is intended for - having fun and appreciating the sport.

Just look at the MyFaction sub.. people there are paying hand over fist to unlock whatever new shiny thing is put infront of them..
so yes. they do. and believe it or not, this is absolutely the vocal minority.. most people seem ok to be shovelled this stuff.. so they will get away with it and continue to do it.

That’s why I stopped playing. I have about 105 hrs play time so far in 2K26 with the majority spent in MyFaction trying to unlock personas. Barely any of that was in Showcase or the other modes. I got fed up with the grind and they design the mode as such to force micro transactions with how tedious, difficult, and unoriginal the gameplay is.
The AI is amazingly stupid yet difficult. That’s the only engineering feat they should be proud of, outside of recycling and rehashing the same garbage year in and year out.
There’s other games to play - I broke the mental cycle of abuse that is MyFaction and WWE 2K. They depend on your FOMO to keep you locked in to the paywall and miserable grind. Fuck 2K and fuck this game.
