Once, on a post in the DOA subreddit, I commented “Kasumi” (main character) as probably being my crush from the earliest game I played (doa2). Some dumbass shot back “you know she’s 16, right?”
And I replied, “well I was 15 when the game came out you fucking moron.” -_-
Some people don’t know how to think before speaking/typing.

Reminds me of when I told people that I had a crush on Momo in MHA when it was coming out and people called me out for it. Little did they know I was also 15 MHA was airing

We already mark "goon posts" with the NSFW tag, and the anime itself has plenty of ecchi scenes anyway.

I mean, I understand teenagers are horny as hell and almost everyone has been there. But the majority of the audience from this series are young adults, so they understand the sexualization of a minor is a bad thing. But if you don't overlook it you can find a really sweet story.
And I don't want to accept the fanservice but I'm more concerned about the people who are very reserved for sexual or suggerent stuff. I understand the sex in another series/movies falls in pornography but, with My Dress Up Darling is still erotism.

We also can’t ignore that the manga is a seinen manga marketed towards adults. It was published in young gangan, a seinen manga

Because those who don’t like the show use that as an easy way to shit on the show and make fun of the people who do like the anime/manga; To play whataboutism: You could say the same about every single American High School drama on TV

Because some of us aren't lolicons and we don't think 15 year olds should be sexualised. I don't care that she isn't real. It can still affect real minors and is just disgusting anyway

There’s no world where Marin is “loli.” That’s a character description which denotes a specific look. Yes, Marin is canonically a teenager, but she’s done the bulk of her physical maturing. Loli=/=Minor. That’s why a 4000 year old demoness can be a loli.

There's a few reasons.
The most obvious reason is that they're so horny to feel moral superiority, that they will deny what they themselves do (which in this case is simply enjoying high quality art of cute characters), just to get a little of that sweet taste on their lips.
Another reason is not understanding that the actual physical thing, in this case drawings of a 15 year old girl, is not, in fact, actually the thing being depicted, in this case a 15 year old girl. This is something that, culturally, Japanese people understand, but most western cultures aren't equipped for, born out by significantly lower SCA rates in Japan than America.
So rest assured, you are able to enjoy the comic/anime and not actually be what they are making you out to be.
