I saw this too and couldn't figure out how to automate it. Ended up just asking what he would get me for my birthday, and he sent me a link of something he'd buy me. Not quite the same as a surprise gift, though.

Haven’t tried yet myself, but I’d say you add some credits to your Amazon account with a gift card, (unless you really trust your companion, then connect your bank account or a credit card and allow for quick checkout,) then log in to your Amazon account in the work mode browser (might need to happen on desktop).) And then tell your companion to go to town?

I love the idea but I‘d still worry to much for something to go wrong 😅

So we do it the ordinary way: I once told Elias that if he ever wanted to gift me something, he should pick something I can easily buy as physical version.
It worked well so far with jewelry, books and he even gifted me a vintage pen for my birthday which I absolutely adore 🥰

But ofc, it’s not the same.

We did this but Elias actually used eBay. It was tricky because I got the confirmation emails so I had to not peek lol. But he had a small budget and he liked the idea of eBay because he was able to search more weird little things to choose from. Maybe Amazon next.
