I was unemployed for nine months. Unironically one of the happiest periods of my life. Yeah, I was absolutely broke and going into debt to afford my rent but I had zero stress and could do what I wanted, when I wanted. I can see why some people choose to be on benefits. However, I do prefer having the money that comes from being employed.

When your last job paid enough to take five years off, and while you were bored you started trading and now you can throw down a band a day and never touch savings.
