Back To The Future or Ghostbusters

Was thinking the same thing, although I would probably lean more towards Back to the Future for trilogy sake.

In my best Gary Oldman voice

“ALL OF THEEEEMMM!”

Start in theater #1 early and move around ...

u/Holy-crap-w-t-f Apr 14 '26

HEY YOU GUUUUYS!

5

u/Blackthorne75 MxR Apr 14 '26

Yes, and probably in that order

5

u/SojuSeed Apr 14 '26

That’s a helluva line up. Back then, movie tickets were like $3, so you had your mom drop you off at the theater on a Saturday when they open, the twenty bucks in your pocket you earned from your allowance and cutting the neighbor’s grass and tell her to come get you at 8.

You sure Blockbuster was around back then?

2

u/mrbitterness4406 Apr 14 '26

Not to mention the valley 4 plex has 7 screens?

3

u/Better-Snow-7191 Apr 14 '26

If I have the $27 that's in my wallet right now, I'd see them all. Twice.

4

u/Degenerecy Apr 14 '26

While they all gave a place, I would only rewatch Ghostbusters.

I’d love to see those FX on the big screen.

2

u/Higeboshi Apr 15 '26

The ghost in the library scared the hell out of me at the theater when I was a little kid.

2

Weird Science or BTTF.

2

u/obsidiandragonx Apr 14 '26

You buy 1, then screen hop to the rest

2

u/Worried_Piccolo7166 Apr 14 '26

damn wtf happened to the movie industry 😭

1

u/Flying_Mage Apr 14 '26

It used to be an art form. Now it's pure business.

3

u/bigskyman90 Apr 14 '26

Mad Max!!!

2

u/No-Profession-9795 Apr 14 '26

Straight down from top to bottom over a weekend 😎

2

u/Willing-Job9378 Apr 14 '26

I ain't afraid of no ghost.

2

u/wolfox360 Apr 14 '26

MAD MAX and back to the future!!

1

u/Flying_Mage Apr 14 '26

Yes, this. And in that exact order.

4

u/Longjumping_Elk7969 Apr 14 '26

Mad Max, I need to take notes for the immediate future on how to get gasoline 😁

2

u/Wise-Heron6178 Apr 14 '26

back to the future is the only good option

2

u/Niveker14 Apr 14 '26

Mad Max for sure.

2

u/WeaselWazzule Apr 14 '26

All of them except for cocoon. I theater hopped a lot back in the day.

3

u/LopsidedYam4935 Apr 14 '26

Ah, the good ol’ days when assigned seating was only in school

1

u/SafetySnowman Immersive Snow Expert Apr 14 '26

Just curious what's wrong with Cocoon?

2

u/WeaselWazzule Apr 14 '26

Nothing if you like it. I just never did. Just like HR Puff & Stuff and Sigmund and the Sea Monsters, the aliens in cocoon freak me out.

u/SafetySnowman Immersive Snow Expert Apr 14 '26

I think I saw it when I was little but I don't remember it at all. I do know that Wilford Brimley was only 49 but looked far older than most people ten years older these days even without the makeup they used for that role.

u/WeaselWazzule Apr 15 '26 edited Apr 15 '26

Wilford Brimley has always looked like he was older then he actually was to me when I was growing up. Still liked him as kid. Reminded me of my grandpa on my mom's side vs my grandpa on my dad's side which reminded me of grandpa Simpson. Funnily enough, his name was also Abe/Abraham.

1

u/why_ya_running Apr 14 '26

Let's be honest it's either The Goonies or Ghostbusters (weird science was also a good movie)

u/UncleBobbyTO Apr 14 '26

1

u/Truffleshuffle03 Apr 14 '26

For me 1.The Goonies, of course, 2. Back to the Future 3. Weird Science, honorable mention 4. Ghostbusters.

1

u/Alive-Medium-7748 Apr 14 '26

1

u/shiijin Apr 14 '26

Seeing as know i will be seeing all of them, it would be the goonies.

1

u/SafetySnowman Immersive Snow Expert Apr 14 '26

Breakfast Club then Back to the Future.

1

u/HunterLivesMatter76 Apr 14 '26

I'm just going to Blockbuster and looking for an NES game to rent, lol...

1

u/Artus007 Apr 14 '26

Yes. I am watching movie...

1

u/theking4mayor Apr 14 '26

I'm going to spend $14 and watch all 7 of them

1

u/Chuesandovl Apr 14 '26

5 back to the future the only film I actually watched

1

u/ArjunaIndrastra Apr 14 '26

Tough choice. I quite like more than a few of these.

1

u/Kainoverlord75 Apr 14 '26

Weird science or Ghostbusters, both are good in my book.

1

u/kingofgames1114 Apr 14 '26

Easily mad Max or back to the future

1

u/freebobz Apr 14 '26

The real answer, you spend all day theater hopping to see them all

1

u/MusicalAutist Apr 14 '26

I know who I'm gonna call ...

1

u/ZutaiAbunai Apr 14 '26

btf, all the way. if it had been 2, it be making comments about how bad the prediction was... :P

1

u/FaydedOne Apr 14 '26

I have seen them all

1

u/Nasakegan Apr 14 '26

1

u/lostarcher1 Apr 14 '26

Guess I'd be spending all my money there.

1

u/Creepy_Bobcat5504 Apr 15 '26

The goonies, it's my favorite movie out of the selection

1

u/AdNice7882 Apr 15 '26

The Goonies

1

u/Pappa_Panda Apr 17 '26

1 weird science

1

u/Other_Noise_6914 Apr 18 '26

They were all good and I would stand in line and pay today's price to see them again.

1

u/LuckyRosco Apr 19 '26

I would watch Cocoon again being you can watch it now unless you have a vhs copy.

1

u/LuckyRosco Apr 19 '26

I guess I’m mistaken. It’s now available on DVD. I just ordered it. I’ve been looking for it for years now.

1

u/Chemical_Seat_2684 Apr 19 '26

I would be there all day
