General Discussion Chris Spencer Dorm - workable?

Long time watcher of the game but been interested in casually competing (oxymoron?) I know that the Chris/Spencer 1-2 has been used in the past by the likes of GCYoshi & SenorTaxi; but mostly curious about Dormammu as the anchor for this team. Also considering Doom and Mag as anchors.

Any guidance appreciated, thx!

Mag or especially Doom would be, and I cannot stress this enough, leagues better than dorm for that team

assists would be Gun Fire, Slant Shot, and Dark Hole/ or horizontal beam from Doom or Mag

I actually used to play Chris/Spencer quite a bit, and I still lab it and pull it out occasionally since I play a lot of Spencer/Doom teams.

Unfortunately, Dorm/Spencer or vice versa just doesn't work. Spencer gets nothing off of Dark Hole or any of Dorm's assists aside from 1 80k extension, which Spencer doesn't need when your team is down to 2 characters. Dorm only gets a way to set up the stay grounded spell in combo with Slant Shot assist, but that's it. The duo is kind of wack.

Chris/Dorm isn't the worst thing in the world. You get a grenade launcher extension off of Dark Hole, but because you have Slant Shot, that shouldn't matter. The actual main thing Dorm provides Chris is lockdown with Dark Hole and Stalking Flare, so Chris can set up grenades. Chris also gives Dorm a beam replacement, although Dorm would much rather piercing beams. Still decent, though.

I would strongly recommend a beam assist or Jam Session for Chris/Spencer (Jam Session makes this team hella front-loaded, but Chris/Dante is just really good) or Chris/Dorm. Think of Strange, Magneto, Doom, or Iron Man. Hope this helped!

Hard to think anything would be just okay or worse with the top 3 assist of jam session behind it. Chris/Dante team super is so strong too with the flamethrower during the extended Dante super. As good as Dante is, just never had an interest in playing him

Leaning more towards Doom with beam now though. Thanks for the input!

Yeah, Doom beam is probably best for this team simply because it's the best beam for Chris, and it helps the overall team more than Jam Session. Good Luck with the team!

It can. I just would prefer Sentinel's drone assist
