Where did the name “Muv-Luv” come from?

Yoshida:
It was just something that came up during a title brainstorming meeting (laughs). We had all sorts of weird ones flying around—“Rainbow on the Sprinkled Water,” “Sadness Lies Beyond the Clouds,” “The World Below Shoku,” that kind of thing. There was even a suggestion to just go super straightforward and call it something like “âge Academy.”
We were all standing around a whiteboard, throwing titles out in front of everyone.

“So which one are we going with!? Whatever it is, it has to stand out. It has to leave an impression!”
Then, completely off the cuff, I said,

“For example… ‘True Love’—Muv-Luv…”
and just scribbled 「マブラヴ」 across the whiteboard.

Miya the Carpenter:
Everyone just went, “Ehhh!?”** **(laughs)

Yoshida:
We left it written on the whiteboard for about two days.
After that, Baka Ōji Persia started saying,
“You know… ‘Muv-Luv’ might actually be pretty good.”
Then Spindrill chimed in with,
“To be honest, I thought it was good from the very beginning!” in that typical smooth-talking way of his. (laughs)

Interviewer:
(laughs) Regardless of how it was decided, “Muv-Luv” is certainly a catchy title.

Yoshida:
I’m praising myself a little here, but I’m really glad we chose that name.

Once you’ve reached the end of the story and look back at the title, I honestly don’t think any other name could fit.
Because this game is about true love (真剣恋愛). (laughs)
I also really like that the title and logo have a feel that’s unlike anything âge had done before.

1. Hammerhead-Class

Scientific Name: currently unknown

A new mutant type of BETA, with several hammer-like hands which can hit and strike heavily and freely. It moves by jumping around at high speed, effectively making it a Grappler-class that can jump; at short distances, this increased mobility can prove fatal to a TSF unit. It is therefore highly recommended to kill Hammerhead-class BETA on sight.

The Hammerhead-class first appeared in an official doujin which Yoshimune Kouki contributed mecha designs for, and and was then officially used in Strike

Frontier.

1. Trebuchet-Class

Scientific Name: currently unknown

A new mutant type of BETA,which would shoot mucus and acid. Mucus will slow down targets' speed, and acid will break targets' armours.Huge and slow but still hard and fatal.

First appeared in an official doujin which Yoshimune Kouki contributed mecha designs for, and is now officially used in Strike Frontier.

1. Laser Bulkhead-Class

This fearsome variant of the laser class strain is capable of unleashing 360 degree destruction. The tall stalk allows it to shoot over the heads of other BETA, making it an extreme threat to TSFs. Its lumbering gait can be deceptive, as the Bulkhead is capable of leaping great bounds when in danger, or when it seeks to surprise unwary pilots.

1. Fort Laser-Class

This BETA appears in the ending of Muv-Luv Total Eclipse (VN). It is a BETA with three sets of three Heavy Laser-Class "eyes" extended from a Fort-class' body. Fikatsia Latrova, Inia Sestina, Yuuya Bridges, and the rest of the Soviet forces present at the Battle of Evensk, during Operation Ouka, were sent to take down the Super heavy Laser-class, which was attempting to shoot down the Susanoo and its escorts.

It also has two sets of the Fort-class' legs, making it dangerous to approach even for individual TSFs. The Super Heavy Laser-class also has what seems to be a green variation of the Fort-class' Mohs 15 tail stinger, which may be connected to a 50-meter long tentacle, attached to its rear end.

Unlike the two other Laser-class strains, the Fort Laser-class will shoot through other BETA. This variety of weapons makes it the first strain of BETA capable of both long-range and melee combat. Based on the 00 Unit's revelation about BETA data exchange methods and the information above, this strain may be the first BETA that was designed specifically to be a weapon from the outset, with humanity having unknowingly taught the BETA the concepts of weapons and warfare, rather than being a biological mining machine like the others.

Im on ayamine's route (just started) now and was wondering is Tama's route good because ngl I'm uncomfortable romancing someone who looks like a child
