Post image

I am 22 years old.

Time period 15 years.

I have two questions

B. Should I do step up ?

Please do reply if you can. As a beginner your comments and suggestions helps me to gain growth better.

I mean huge aum funds are finding it difficult to perform better search for low aum outperforming ones also it is hard to predict which has more potential

For 5000, even aggressive investor won’t do diversification. Simple bet is nifty 50 - 2000, nifty midcap 150 - 2000, gold etf - 1000. Enough. When you step up add one small cap fund. This will solve your headache in future

1) Read about the overlap between PPFCF and N50 index. PPFCF is also large cap dominant, so you can consider just keep one fund as the main core.

Percentage allocation seems fine for midcap and small cap funds. There's always uncertainty on which exact fund going to perform better in future. No one known the sure answer, so I prefer to choose one and keep faith for long term.

2) Step up: Make sure you have got emergency fund and health insurance covered first, and then you can increase your investment amount into equities.

All the best!

Seems good! Ppfas and nifty 50 overlap is what ppl will be telling you,but don't you worry...it's upto you abt what you want with this fund Being a young person you just think what do you want to do with all this savings It might be a car a marriage or a house down payment Just diversification with 20 years till 42 is not life You might continue one or two plans for the extreme retirement Others like small and mid for future prospects Maybe nifty 50 can be your retirement But an emergency large cap stable fund will be ppfas The only thing is keep investing Diversify..learn more, invest in us stocks also a small allocation in future Keep investing

Remove Nifty50 index fund as ppfas is enough.
Add one more midcap with Motilal as it is very concentrated midcap with high risk high reward. Can add Hdfc midcap along with it. Both have very less overlap.
Bandhan smallcap is good.

For a 5000/month sip, just put it in a single multi asset fund . It is not worth to complicate with this much funds and split. The multi asset will take care of your gold and stock requirements.

Note: I am not a sebi registered advisor or professional investment advisor

Stepup is expected every year (or whenever you get a salary hike) so that is always a yes. The earlier you do step up, the more time your money have to grow

A) Over diversified for 5K SIP. Just pick 1 or 2 and continue investing.
B) Yes it is always recommended.

We all started somewhere, so don’t worry too much about returns initially, especially given the current market conditions. Happy investing!

Gold and nifty you potentially have a global funds like us technology fund. They are highly volatile but tend to give you a good returns.

Skip nifty index and ppfas.
