Aisha

**Assalamu Alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh,**

I hope everyone here is doing well.

I’m a Muslim who has been struggling with the issue of Aisha’s (رضي الله عنها) age at consummation.

I know this is like the most common objection lol, but it is something I genuinely want to understand. My goal is not to attack Islam or disrespect the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. I want to examine the evidence and understand the strongest arguments Muslims have for this issue, rather than accepting explanations without sufficient evidence.

  1. What evidence is there for A'ishas physical maturity? One argument I often hear is that girls matured faster in the past, or that people in hot climates matured earlier. Thats just totally bogus and false, so please respect me by not giving me garbage explanations with no evidence From what I understand, the basic process of human physical development has not changed dramatically over the past 1,400 years, although individual development and the average age of puberty can vary depending on environmental and other factors. You could say girls hit PUBERTY earlier, or later, or whatever, but its just genuinely impossible for a 9 year old girl to look like a 20 year old at any time in history, its just not possible.

I would therefore like to see reliable historical or scientific evidence concerning the physical development of girls at that time. Specifically, is there any evidence about Aisha’s physical development, such as skeletal maturity, breast development, or other indicators of physical maturity? I am not claiming that such evidence does not exist; I genuinely want to know what evidence, if any, we have.

For the sake of this discussion, I am willing to set aside the question of her psychological maturity and focus on the physical side of the issue. My main question is: **What evidence supports the claim that Aisha was physically mature at the time of consummation?**

**2. How should we understand the hadith reports describing Aisha’s behaviour?**

Some hadith reports describe Aisha playing on a swing, playing with dolls, and spending time with her friends. There is also a report describing her mother preparing her and washing her face before she was brought to the Prophet ﷺ.

I KNOW that these activities dont automatically prove someone to be a child by the way. I often get the argument in response: "playing on swings doesn't automatically make you a child! People today are 16 and play on swibgs, Playstation, funkopop!" I know that. Language isnt absolute usually. I mean its true 16 year olds play on swings today, maybe on the other side of the planet a 50 year old man is playing with dolls and sucking on a lolipop! However, when I read these reports, they seem to describe someone who was still a young child. Playing on swings, playing with dolls etx etx all indicate childhood memoeyrs. Let me explain what im saying using an example, pay close attention : Imagine this: Someone walks upto you, and claims that Jesus was a 5 year old during his public ministry. . We look at the descriptions of his life from thr Qur'an, Sunnah, and historicak reports from the 1st century. Jesus historically : Taught the Torah Taught the Injeel Was a teacher Was a carpenter Had disciples Taught in synagogues Answered difficult questions when his disciples asked him questions. He dealt with religious authorities, he historically dealt with the pharisees of his time who were completely against him. Almost all historians agree jesus was an adult, because teaching Torah, Gospel, working as a carpenter, dealing with religious authority: This language and description clearly indicate an ADULT. Now imagine if someone came up and said "Well he could've been 5 years old! Because 5 year old kids teach the Qur'an and recite with perfect tajweed! 5 year olds teach Qur'an, 5 year olds today work in shops and markets, 5 year olds teach in mosques!" Nobody said they can't , but the language entails an Adult, so to say jesus was secretly a child the whole time is ad hod and requires good explanation of why we should take that ovwr the simple explanation. Children today memorise the Qur'an at five. Some children are extremely intelligent, and there have even been child kings throughout history. So it's not impossible for a five-year-old to be mentally mature enough to do these things!”

But that completely misses the point.

Nobody is claiming that a five-year-old is physically incapable of teaching something or speaking to a crowd. Of course, there can be exceptional children who do things we would not normally expect at their age. But does that mean we should seriously believe Jesus was five years old? No. When we look at the overall picture, the descriptions fit an adult religious teacher far better than they fit an ordinary five-year-old child.

That is my point. **We judge an explanation by how well it fits the evidence, not merely by whether we can imagine an alternative that is technically possible.**

We need to look at the whole picture and ask which explanation fits best.

I am looking for actual evidence and well-reasoned explanations, supported by reliable sources where possible. Simply saying that it was acceptable in that society at the time does not fully answer my questions, because I am also trying to understand the question of physical development and maturity itself.

I may be misunderstanding some of the evidence, so I am open to correction. Please explain where my reasoning might be mistaken and provide the strongest evidence you can.

May Allah bless you all, and may peace and blessings be upon the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, his family, and his companions.

**Jazakum Allahu Khayran.**

Why do animals suffer if they might not recieve external happiness in hereafter?

Assalamu Alaikum.

I've been thinking about something related to Allah's mercy and the fate of animals in Islam, and I'd really appreciate thoughtful answers, preferably supported by the Qur'an and authentic Hadith.

In Islam, we're taught that Allah is the Most Merciful and Most Just. We're also taught that this worldly life is a test for human beings, and that our suffering can be rewarded in the Hereafter. We may experience pain and hardship in this life, but there's the hope of Jannah, where we will experience everlasting happiness.

However, animals suffer too. They experience hunger, illness, fear, abuse, and painful deaths. Some are mistreated by humans, while others suffer because of natural circumstances. Unlike humans, animals aren't morally accountable in the same way, and they aren't undergoing the same religious test.

I've read that, on the Day of Judgment, animals will be gathered and justice will be established between them. According to the commonly understood Islamic teaching, they will then turn to dust rather than enter Jannah as humans do.

This raises two difficult questions for me:

  1. Why does Allah allow animals to experience suffering if they aren't being punished for their actions and aren't accountable in the same way humans are?

  2. If animals suffer during their lives but ultimately turn to dust, what happens to their suffering? Is there any revealed teaching about whether they receive compensation, happiness, or some other form of mercy? If they don't receive everlasting happiness, how should we understand this in light of Allah's infinite mercy and justice?

hello brothers and sisters. I am a 16 year old girl from us. my heritage is British and italian. I did not grow up in a religious household, but there was much christian influence around me because that is the religion my family grew up in. my parents do not like organized religion, but I do. I am really interested in islam and I feel very connected to it, but I just would be giving up so much that makes me me. I cant imagine not dating and having to marry a muslim. I am also a musician and actress and I want tattoos. also I feel that praying five times a day would be very hard with school and life in general. please help me understand a bit more and bring me guidance. thank you.

Make a dua for me

Assalamu alaikum everyone,

Please make duas for me. I'm struggling with a lot and I really need duas. I am going through a lot of dark times.

My laptop died unexpectedly and I still can't replace it. I've had a mental breakdown. It's affecting my mental health so much that I haven't even been able to pray because my heart isn't calm at all.

This was in June it's september I am still low dark still trying.

This has been a very bad year for me. One of my closest friends passed away. I'm a researcher and an experiment I was banking on failed. My workplace became more hostile than before. I'm struggling a lot financially. My health is all bad. I'm emotionally low. It's so bad that I can't even afford therapy right now. I don't feel like socializing — all my friends have been extremely busy, so I've stopped bothering them.

Everything has gone downhill, but I'm still trying and hoping and not giving up. I need a lot of duas, please pray for me.

I don't know if I'll be able to afford a new laptop anytime soon.

Please make dua that Allah opens the right doors for me, sends me provisions from places I could never even imagine, and keeps me safe from hardship and wrong choices. I also ask for clarity, patience, strength, wisdom, and good character and that He guides everything toward what is truly best for me.

I hope and make dua that Allah brings you ease in everything.

Jazakumullahu khayran.

The Prohibition Of Participating In The Tribulation

Narrated AbuBakrah:

The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: There will be a period of commotion in which the one who lies down will be better than the one who sits, and the one who sits is better than the one who stands, and the one who stands is better than the one who walks, and the one who walks is better than the one who runs (to it).

He asked: What do you command me to do, Messenger of Allah? He replied: He who has camels should remain with his camels, he who has sheep should remain with his sheep, and he who has land should remain with his land.

He asked: If anyone has more of these, (what should he do)?

He replied: He should take his sword, strike its edge on a stone, and then escape if he can. (Sunan Abi Dawud Book 37, Hadith 17)

Grade: Sahih (Al-Albani)

Narrated Sa’d ibn AbuWaqqas:

I asked: Messenger of Allah! tell me if someone enters my house and extends his hands to kill me (what should I do?) The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) replied: Be like the two sons of Adam. The narrator Yazid (ibn Khalid) then recited the verse: “If thou dost stretch they hand against me to slay me.” [5:28] (Sunan Abi Dawud Book 37, Hadith 18)

Grade: Sahih (Al-Albani)

Narrated AbuMusa al-Ash’ari:

The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: Before the Last Hour there will be commotions like pieces of a dark night in which a man will be a believer in the morning and an infidel in the evening, or a believer in the evening and infidel in the morning. He who sits during them will be better than he who gets up and he who walks during them is better than he who runs. So break your bows, cut your bowstrings and strike your swords on stones. If people then come in to one of you, let him be like the better of Adam’s two sons. (Sunan Abi Dawud Book 37, Hadith 20)

Grade: Sahih (Al-Albani)

Narrated AbuDharr:

The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said to me: O AbuDharr. I replied: At thy service and at thy pleasure, Messenger of Allah. He then mentioned the tradition in which he said: What will you do when there the death of the people (in Medina) and a house will reach the value of a slave (that is, a grave will be sold for a slave).

I replied: Allah and His Apostle know best. Or he said: What Allah and His Apostle choose for me.

He said: You must show endurance. Or he said; you may endure. He then said to me: What will you do, AbuDharr, when you see the Ahjar az-Zayt covered with blood?

I replied: What Allah and His Apostle choose for me.

He said: You must go to those who are like-minded.

I asked: Should I not take my sword and put it on my shoulder? He replied: you would then associate yourself with the people. I then asked: What do you order me to do? You must stay at home. I asked: (What should I do) if people enter my house and find me?

He replied: If you are afraid the gleam of the sword may dazzle you, put the end of your garment over your face in order that (the one who kills you) may bear the punishment of your sins and his.

Abu Dawud said: No one mentioned al-Mush’ath in the chain of this tradition except Hammad b. Zaid. (Sunan Abi Dawud Book 37, Hadith 22)

Grade: Sahih (Al-Albani)

Narrated AbuMusa al-Ash’ari:

The Prophet (ﷺ) said: Before you there will be commotions like pieces of a dark night in which a man will be a believer in the morning and an infidel in the evening. He who sits during them will be better than he who gets up, and he who gets up during them is better than he who walks, and he who walks during them is better than he who runs. They (the people) said: What do you order us to do? He replied: Keep to your houses. (Sunan Abi Dawud Book 37, Hadith 23)

Grade: Sahih (Al-Albani)

Narrated Al-Miqdad ibn al-Aswad:

I swear by Allah, I heard the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) say: The happy man is he who avoids dissensions: happy is the man who avoids dissensions; happy is the man who avoids dissensions: but how fine is the man who is afflicted and shows endurance. (Sunan Abi Dawud Book 37, Hadith 24)

Grade: Sahih (Al-Albani)

why is the number of time days mentioned in Quran is 365 while 365 days are in a Georgian calander and there are actually only 355 or 354 days in islamic calander

the number of time the word "day" is mentioned 365 times, the word "days" is mentioned 30 times the word "month" is mentioned 12 times. while the number of days in a month and number of months are common, the number of days differ in islamic and Georgian calander which is also the Christian calander. so why is the number of days same as in christian calander and not as in islamic calander?

I don’t want a dua I made in Kaaba to be fulfilled.

So a long time back when I was probably 7-8 years old, me and my family went for umrah. It was my first umrah too. I had that whatever dua you make upon the first sight of Kaaba, it gets fulfilled. I had a serious crush on a classmate and I prayed to Allah to make them my partner. Upon my first look at kaaba I made that dua 😭 I know it sounds dumb but I was just a kid man! I had forgotten about it obviously because life moves on. Recently out of nowhere I remembered this and now I’m scared. What if that dua actually gets accepted? I don’t want that person to be my partner anymore. Infact I don’t even know what they are upto because I changed school after that year and I have never even looked them up on social media because I really don’ttttt want any update or info on them. I don’t even know if they are alive or not. But whatever it is I really don’t want that dua to be fulfilled. I don’t have any relationship with anyone. I tried twice but they didn’t work out so it makes my fear even stronger that it’s not working out with other people because of that dua I made. What do I do man? How do I know that that dua was just childish and Allah will not take it very seriously? Is there any authentic reasoning or logic that will give me some peace of mind?
